Downpipes on order waiting on shipping confirmation. These sound a lot better then the patched up stockers I'm running right now

Received, excellent packaging. I’ll have to install this weekend when it cools down. 104 outside today.

The catback came with no instructions and I can’t see any online. I realize it looks straightforward but is there anything I should know before I crawl under there? @JMGmanAZ

I used a small ratchet strap hooked onto the muffler to pull the x pipe into the pipes while everything was hanging. Used a rubber mallet and gently tapped the pipes until they seated completely into the X pipe, then tightened the clamps. Hope this makes sense.

Which section did you hang first?

Running into an issue. The muffler section is tack welded to the down pipes.

I hung the muffler first, then pipes. Sprayed some lubricant on the rubber muffler hangers as well.

Edit to add : looks like a grinder and cut off wheel is in your future.

Got everything off. I noticed this metal strip thing on the ground after I pulled the muffler off. I must have been rolling my creeper over it back and forth. What is it? Do I need it?

That’s the factory exhaust gasket. You shouldn’t need it as the new system has gaskets

Do I reuse the stock bolts or use the included gold ones? Why did they include nuts? The stock down pipes have threads welded on already.

you can use whichever you’d like. They included them incase the welded units are no good. Also you want to hang the full system loosely and make its all in place etc then tighten all the hardware from the front to the back

Im tightening down and it seems like the flanges don’t want to seat together flush like stock. I can still see the silver gasket on the SPD side. Am I supposed to remove the gasket that was in the stock cat side?

I tightened down as much as I could. I can still see a slight gap. Is this okay?
