Must be a joy to start. I've always hated how loud our trucks are at cold start. The mechanical fan makes a lot of noise.

I like this idea without compromising A/C.

    Many on the way.
Have a look at the various front mount heat exchangers Toyota and Lexus use for their newer turbocharged vehicles. Granted, they cool both the intake charge and turbocharger bearings… but simply massive. The unit on my mother’s little 240hp 2.0l NX200T is 27” x 17” x 5/8”. The 300 Series LC and 3rd Gen Tundra show how it’s done with parallel plumbed side mount units, so as not to preheat cooling air for the ac and radiator.

Perhaps a bit old school, I wouldn’t mind belt driven pump for circulating the coolant. Simple, reliable, and flow that is proportional.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    belt driven intercooler pump.

    I'd consider that.

I'm surprised more people don't go to electric fans. From all the noise the one on our trucks makes, it must be a ton of drag.

I’ve been looking at going the electric fan route. The biggest thing is getting the correct controller to control the fans and when the AC kicks on plus a good shroud for a decent seal.

It had some traction and a few put them on back in 2012 or so on other forums. They were not reliable as the mechanical fan. I still have the mechanical fan in case. I went a different route when they were selling kits and used the factory shroud with a Lincoln mk8 fan bolted in with a Volvo relay and BMW thermostat. The a/c relay went out and still have to install a new one. It's a Frankenstein build but works.

What if you were to add an external intercooler much like the turbo systems

It'd have to go between the blower and heads, so for a setup like ours that packaging doesn't really work. And if you put the cooler before the throttle body, you're not cooling it since that air hasn't been heated up yet.

Just do a little bit to cool the intake charge. In regards to IATs there's probably diminishing returns at some point, so just scoot close to that point and don't enter the part of making mad horsetorques :D

Didn't @ViktorG recently share photos of how little impact a <50% water/methanol mixture had while still providing benefit? Asking because the install is rather simple and not very intrusive to the limited space in the nose. Obviously comes with a rather significant sustainment tail, but it's not terrible, especially at the boost levels you guys are looking for the benefits at.

That doubles your area of cooling capacity...it's a great upgrade and even better if you have a larger reservoir tank!

Yes but it was reserved for track use so probably not enough to evaluate long term impact on the rotor coating.

I was thinking about it. I went to make some bushings and then realized I could sneak in a last minute McMaster order for tomorrow delivery, so bought more delrin instead. And now I'm just sitting here staring out the door debating whether to work on the throttle body or finish welding some shit, or just browse the forums :D

Just got the PSB-1 installed at the local shop. Just curious if these numbers look correct for those of you that have this same gauge? Photo was taken at idle at a stoplight. The highest boost I’ve seen during acceleration is 3.x. Just wondering if everything seems to be calibrated/working correctly? As always any info is greatly appreciated!

That's legit...I typically grab 4.6psi max...I have slightly more air with the SABM...that's why you need the Sniv pullies!! And injectors...and....and...lower elevations will net you more boost...
