Just signed up. Hope to be a contributor, But I have many q's also.
I have a 06 4 door quad cab. 139,000 miles in pretty good shape. like to do my own work, but I'm old and have joint problems, but I still do whatever I can.
So far I've had, secondary air system replaced, ball joints, Brakes all around, air bag, left axle bearing, front shocks, and smaller stuff like plugs and battery.
Presently I need lower control arm bushings which is masking clunking noises.

One question I have is: anyone else have hard steering in parking lots? can't use one hand, need both hands to turn, its good while driving.

Usually one hand if moving slowly. Both if turning the wheel in place but it’s not impossible to do with one hand if necessary.

Please read and heed Shifty’s FGT megathread first. And it’s a double cab not quad cab.

Whatever you call it. It's the superior cab.

You might want to test your power steering air control valve for functionality.

Meanwhile, do yourself a huge f’ing favor and read this thread we collectively assembled: https://www.tundras.com/threads/so-you-wanna-buy-just-bought-a-1st-gen-tundra-eh.115928/

Fair warning: Of you replaced lower balljoints, if you didn’t go OEM on that specific joint, you need to be aware of a phenomenal number of low-mile failures with aftermarket LBJ’s due to Toyota’s design, and aftermarket part supplier’s inability to make a an all-metal part that’s stout enough to handle the stupidly high amount of stress on the LBJ. More info on that in the megathread I linked.
