Just noticed the mirror's temp is showing "SC". Couldn't have been doing it for that long, so I'm wondering if I moved/shifted something when I was running all those wires. I was pretty damn careful, so maybe it's just a coincidence that the sensor is failing so close to me working on it.

I hear the ambient temp sensor is around the driver's side headlight/grill area?

It is. On the firewall support around the passenger side horn, between the latch and passenger headlight (ish).

SC = Short Circuit, I believe. Given the temp sensor is a simple run, I believe the two wires used in that circuit are light grey and light green, not much to check on there...

Threw the Kenwood back in the truck. Still not dimming. Stupid stereo. Lol

Threw the Chinesium unit back in it's box and dropped it off with UPS.

I managed to pop the 20a radio fuse under the hood. Replaced it and back in business except now I have an airbag light on. Crap.

Sitrep: went back out with my BlueDriver dongle. The airbag light stayed off. Guess it just needed a few key on cycles. Good. BlueDriver found one error. P0504. My brake lights come on just fine including the third brake light so not sure what that's all about.

Anyone swapped a 2wd rear sway bar and put it on a 4x4? Both my trucks are 2005 AC

Yeah, you can either go aftermarket or custom fab or get lucky in a junkyard.

I really like how well my 2wd handles with it on road. Maybe I could use extensions W/ quick disconnects.

Anyone use rear sway bars on a lifted AC? What do you think about it?

I had one on my mildly lifted AC, but Ive since removed it because it didnt fit with my archive garage u bolt flip and bumpstops. I also upgraded my leaf pack and while the rear sway felt good when it was on, removing it I havent felt much difference without it.

Well I didn't personally do it, but after paying the bill I felt like I played enough of a role to post about it...New tires. Went from the inexpensive road tires the previous owner threw into the deal when I bought it to make sure I could make the 350 mile drive home (265 70), to some Falken 265 75's. Wanted a higher ply rating and the 70s didn't have it. Either needed to go 245 75, or 265 75. I once had smaller, skinner tires on my stock Tacoma alloy rims and didn't like the look, so skinnier than stock wasn't happening for the Tundra.

These definitely fill out the wheel wells, which I like. Will see if I notice any power/mpg difference.

Took the camper down to get registered today. She's mostly in working order, but I'm not getting enough voltage for the left side of the trailer. I believe the problem lies with the factory 4-way, so I'll replace that section and see if it helps.

I readjusted my rear camera. When I installed this replacement I didn't include the spacer wedges so the view was too high. It's lower now but I still can't see the trailer hitch or the bumper. I was going to add 2 wedges to angle it down some more but the threaded stud portion on the back is barely long enough to install the retainer nut with just one spacer wedge in there.

The plot thiccens... I have consistent voltage on both trailer lights, but the driver's side still doesn't light up. New bulb didn't help either.

Still probably something wrong with the factory converter.

Check the bulb socket opening possible the opening has increased is size over time and is not making contact with the bulb conductors.

    Where are you testing voltage?

I hooked my truck up to the trailer a few weeks back just make sure the truck connection worked. Everything on my trailer worked when hooked up to the Tacoma late last fall. Driver side blinker didn't work when I tested it with the Tundra. I bought a 7-pin tester for the truck connection. Everything lit up fine. So I have a new bulb ready to install but I'll admit I haven't tested the actual socket on the trailer yet. Just figured I might as well have a spare bulb or two ready in case that's all the problem is.

I'm guessing that testing the socket on the trailer is as easy as connecting a multimeter to it and a ground, but my electrical skills aren't great. When I'm doing a lot of it the info is fresh and I feel like I know more, but I've never done enough electrical work and testing for a long enough period for it to really stick. I'll need to do a little research before I'm confident I know how to test for power at the trailer light. Easier for now to just try a new bulb...

The converter shouldn't be doing anything in this case though right? At least with my trailer, the converter is only used when I'm connected to AC, in order to run DC electronics. But with your truck powering the camper, it's DC to DC. No converter needed.

Each bulb will have two connection points on the socket. If you can check across the two points without touching your leads together (will blow the fuse) that is the most accurate way. The safer way is to check the positive side with one lead to a good ground point. Then checking resistance from the negative side to that same ground point.

They're making full contact, unfortunately. I just need to go over all the connections again and figure out what tf is going on. I still think it has to do with 4 way connections; factory pins could be toast.

I just use a multi meter. Find the ground, check the voltage.

Perhaps. I guess the lamp holder could loosen enough to pull a 180, and then the lamps base is reversed?

I'm going to pull the 7 way apart tomorrow to see if one of those sweet children from China missed a connection.
