They are easy to measure. Wire is super accessible and no tool needed for the rear ones.

Aren't all plugs coated in an iridium based alloy plating? Or is this my race car boogie side coming out?

When I did the full exhaust on our 00civic I allegedly did the capacitor-resistor thing on b1s2 (because I'm running a test pipe until I can afford a new cat:cool:) No codes:rolleyes:

No brake pedal pulsing. And only 77k original miles on the entire truck. Started around 75k miles.

May as well get some CRC MAF cleaner, and some CRC Throttle Body cleaner and do those too. NGK on the plugs. I like to buy local w/Advance Auto, using coupon RMN15 to get 15% off on most things, for in-stire pickup, so I know I'm getting legit parts, today. Remember to pull the negative batt cable for at least ten minutes any time you're tinkering with fuel/air/spark items on the engine.

Warning: Don't fuck around with O2 sensor part numbers. The part numbers change based on year, and often based on whether you're 4WD or RWD.

Always look up O2 sensors at the Denso site directly: www.densoautoparts.com

Be VERY careful when you pull your part numbers:
    • Make sure you're getting the "direct fit" part, not the "universal" (purple below)
    • Pay close attention to the POSITION i.e. "upstream" vs. "downstream" designations (blue underline below)
    • Look really carefully at the DRIVE TYPE descriptions for "RWD" or "4WD" (red underline below)
    • Look at the REQUIRED QUANTITY box can sometimes tell you if there's a RWD/4WD difference or not, or if you see "left" or "right" that's also a red flag you need to pay attention.
    • DO NOT use the following example to figure out the parts for your truck, because these sensors apparently vary by trim package! (SR5/Limited/etc.)
    Example.

Completely different application, but i also used resistors to bypass the 02 sensors in my ktm 990 adventure. At a later point i use TuneECU to install a different map on my ECU to simply turn the 02 sensors off. But like i said, it’s a completely different, but it’s going to be somewhat similar process.

Rich is O2 sensors fault, as evidenced by the CEL. Cats aren't cleaning unburnt fuel, they decrease NOX and CO primarily. If your O2 sensors fault, the default program for the computer is to run rich. Think you still have an O2 sensor problem.

Take longer to drill them out than to do the rest of the job?

@txagg still holds the record on most VC bolts broken, as I recall...

So I removed my stock washer fluid reservoir and cut my bumper area a bit. I cut it at an angle and think it looks pretty good. But my other car was in front of the truck so couldnt get a good view of the front to see how I like it. Ill try to take a picture today to get a better view of it to share with you guys.

My question is: Can I remove the fluid reservoir pump/sensor and just drill a hole in any other container and mount it up? Id rather find a container and reuse my pump/sensor rather than buy another one if possible. Although, new reservoirs with the pump/sensor arent very expensive either for generic ones. But figured why buy a new one when I have a perfectly good one i can reuse.

Unless anyone here wants my stock washer fluid reservoir before I hack mine up?

Yeah, I've looked at what it does in live data and it doesn't look quite like a normal reading would be. Rolls a bit higher, but must be within parameters

I think the O2 sensor system including wires and sensors should be inspected and tested. Make sure your sensors are bad before replacing them.

Interesting, while looking something else up I RTFM and notices this "clip" over on the left, which I don't believe my truck has/had when I swapped pads a few days back.

Also, just to put this one to bed once and for all, the FSM only shows one "anti-rattle" spring and it's top-side on the caliper, closest to the hood. And (2nd pic) am I nuts here, or does the 05-06 FSM only show greasing in one spot? (EDIT: NOPE! I'm nuts, there's definitely more, it's lithium/soap base in the wheel cylinder, and normal high-temp grease everywhere around all other contact points and the lowers. Time for another cup of coffee!)

Looks like hopping under acceleration came back today and threw a misfire code for cylinder 5. Pulled a cheap AA1 reserve coil aside out of what I have left and threw it along with my craftsman ratchet/socket kit and my actron OBD2 reader in the back seat and headed back to work.
