Also, decided to put the sway bar back on. It was alright while it was off, but there was one casualty...passenger outer TRE. Noticed some goop on the inside of my wheel and the sucker had more or less popped. Thinking it had to do with all the extra flex w/out the SB. Made me consider the extra stress on the LBJ's so I put it back on.

From what I read online, it’s due to a poor resistive connection with the fuse. Best to check the contacts it fits into to see if they’re corroded or oxidized in any way.

Man, this is what it’s all about. I’m glad we’ve got people on here who can appreciate this. We’re heading to pagosa springs next month and I’m so excited. Been in school for a while and have 7, 5, and 2 year old boys so it’s been hard to escape to the great outdoors. Hopefully I’ll get to do a little more of this soon. Love the pictures man!!!

After 4 months of working on this truck for 40 minutes at a time I was finally able to drive it today. It's been on jackstands for months, but replaced upper and lower ball joints and control arms, front bearings, steering rack and lines, brake booster and master cylinder, 9 brake lines, idler pulley, tensioner, alternator, fan clutch, radiator, front and rear shocks, antenna, and tackled a good bit of rust in the front end. A number of the components I replaced were bad and had failed, other components were at the end of their life and showing a good bit of wear and were parts I needed to pull off anyway so I opted to replace them. Went OEM for almost everything.

My brakes were still soft though. I did bleed them in the right order though. Will look into rear brake adjustment (I know there's a thread on it).

I just replaced front brake pads and rotors and pedal still felt like $hit...even re-checked the work o_O ;)

I found that setting & resetting the E-brake actually brought my pedal feel back and now when panic stopping it "straight lines" instead of letting the

Only works if the parking break is configured correctly, and the adjuster is functioning.

Thanks. That was the goal. PO had a dealership do the timing belt and water pump 2 years ago, so I should be set for a good long while.

I had to remove so much because I needed to get the rust out of my shock towers and just didn't see the point in putting worn out parts back on.

Dude it really is great for resetting! I saved up a bunch of PTO and just left it all behind for 2 weeks. Not a care in the world and offroading and exploring everyday.

Sitting in those canyons and not seeing a single man made thing around for as far as you can see is pretty amazing. Its like a drug and I think everyone needs to do it once in awhile, haha

Yea i can imagine its a little harder to get out with 3 kids, but seems like they are getting to the perfect age for camping!

I just looked up Pagosa Springs, looks amazing. I still need to venture into Colorado one of these days.

Post some pics of your trip when you get back!

    Redarc makes AWESOME brake controllers.

I have the Elite in my Land Cruiser and the Liberty in the Tundra
    PXL_20240224_205153449.PORTRAIT (1).jpg

Beware. You have to cut, grind, heat, press, cuss, cut your fingers, etc to get the knob to fit into the switch blank. If I was going to install another one in another tundra, I would buy the bigger square Redarc switch blank and cut a square hole into the dash. I mounted the box to the steel dash frame directly under the cluster.
