That's a really good deal considering the dealers quotes. I think Toyota has the install at like 20 hrs or something stupid. My dealer charged 14 hrs (I think) plus alignment and re-cal. It took them 2 full days like 16 hrs to finish.

Don't forget the radar re-calibration by the dealer, unless the other shops can do it too. I looked at doing it myself but the closer dealer still wanted like 3x the other for the re-cal alone.

Ok, I went with a different Toyota dealer and I’m dropping off tomorrow morning. Quick question, what level should they put the clip on front strut? I have the Decked drawers in my bed and might be towing a camper later. Just want to make sure I’m somewhat level rather than the California lean.

2023 sr5 dealer installed trd lift at time of purchase. Currently 37,000 miles getting tie rod ends replaced. Luckily under warranty because I made a comment of a noise prior to exceeding 36,000 miles

Got my truck back from the dealer yesterday, Used a different dealer that only charged me $1275 for the install!
So buying the lift and install total cost was $2775.00

Still waiting to decide on tires. I'll probably run this setup for a while and keep reading the forum to decide what tires work best for my combination.
    Anyway here she is!

Absolutely, It was Fowler Toyota in Tulsa. Although I bought the lift from facebook marketplace. A guy had bought it and never installed it. Had it in his garage for 8 months.
He posted it for $1500 and I took the deal 5 mins later.

That turned out great and even greater price. I like everything from the before and after pics with the chrome delete and black wheels. Some sort of lift should be mandatory for the long beds.

I just got the 3 inch TRD lift installed with the sway bar drop (TRD skid plate below swaybar) I also picked up a set of the 18inch TRD pro Wheels with the +46 offset from eBay. Can anyone tell me if I can install a set of 35x11.15 18 Falken Wildpeak AT4w's without having a rubbing issue on the swaybar? I read thru the thread and saw 2 trucks had the pro rims but couldn't tell what size tires they were running. I also tried searching for this combination but could not find my answer elsewhere on the forum. Thanks!

Trd lift rides great. But it’s not super rugged. Sway bar end links and tie rod end already replaced at 35,000 miles. Half of those miles we on stock wheels and tires.

Hey man! Truck looks great. What tire size and wheel combo did you end up with? No rubbing?

Not sure why, but truck is way higher than I’d like in front. 275/65/20 tires also. Front to rear is more or less level.

And tops out really bad over bumps. Any suggestions?

About to install mine soon, what clip setting did you use? Bottom or top ? Also maybe alignment specs?

Truck is dead level with the kit, and middle wheel cap to bottom fender is 25 3/4 inches. Hybrid truck. Does that mean I’m netting 4inches of lift? It’s way too high and a very uncomfortable ride. Dealer installed.

Ordered fox 2.5 front and rear, plus icon sway bar drop kit to get the trd skid plate back on.

so far very disappointed with this Toyota spec kit.

Do you have to run the original end links again after deleting the trd sway bar drop and installing the icons?

if your getting 25 3/4” inch measurement than you are about 3 3/4” higher than stock. That seems a little tall based on what I hear from others. I wonder if the TRD off road model springs are different. I will let you know once I get mine on. I have a 2024 trd off-road platinum.

I never measured mine before and after but I can tell you from experience with the trd lift and most suspension mods on any vehicle it will settle. Mine was higher at first and then settled down a little lower now with a few thousand miles. Also got smoother over time.

I just installed this today. I used top circlip setting, there's only two. I didn't measure center hub to fender before I made the change, but it currently is 22.75" in the front and 23.5" in the rear. Slight rake and not too much lift is ok with me, I didn't change the axles or UCA. Looks better and rides better. Getting alignment this week. Anybody interested in some OEM springs? I also have another pair of the TRD lift kit shocks that got damaged in delivery, they sent me new ones, I can make a deal for the combo.PXL_20240429_152148167.jpg PXL_20240429_160357740.jpg PXL_20240429_173245752.jpg

Truck looks good, I can't see the rake in the pic looks level to me. What all did you do to piece your own kit together?

Thanks. I agree, it looks level to the naked eye. I purchased the TRD lift kit shocks separately online and OEM springs I found cheap on eBay, had the springs powder coated. That's it. Better than a spacer, all factory parts.

My local dealer installing for $1200…

What do all the great minds think of this tech note?

APPLICATION NOTE #149: FOR 4WD MODELS WITHOUT TRD OFF-ROAD PACKAGE ICON RECOMMENDS USING ICON DIFF DROP (PART# 55156) OR USING TOYOTA TRD AXLES (PART# 434200C020 DRIVER / 434100C020 PASS). FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN FRONT AXLE DAMAGE. NOT REQUIRED FOR TRD PRO.

    Thank you

So, is the norm to add this to the lift or keep as it?

The TRD? The tech note reads as if it’s not included, but advised. no?
