Just put on Method 305 NV Double Black 18x9 +18 paired with Falken Wildpeak AT4W 35x11.5’s! So far I’m loving it! Had to take the front mud flaps off and pin back the fender liner. Other than that, only a VERY SLIGHT rub at full turn in reverse on the driver side sway bar; so minimal no action is needed.

    No.

You can cut the horn to the frame and smooth it out with a flap disc. The weld on plate is probably necessary if you leave any of the horn on the frame. I would be hesitant to weld there though. You won't be able to access the inside with any rust prevention coating and the heat of the weld will burn off any paint in the immediate area. If you cut it flush, you can easily repaint and not worry about rust there, plus you'll get an extra inch of clearance.

This is pretty close to the look I am going for on my new 2024 Tundra.

This is going to be my first time going outside of a stock build (I've had tacomas in the past that did everything I need). Any tips, help on what will be needed to achieve this look to someone who is going through this process for the first time? Also trying to figure out what the max tire size I can go without lifting the truck.

Thats the exact wheel and tire set up I want. The 35x11.5x18 at4w are load C right? How's the ride?

New Tires, 40K on OEM’s, Ive had good luck in the past with the Pathfinders by Discount Tire. Went 275/60/20 vs the OEM 265’s.

Thank you. No rubbing at all, even at full lock in reverse. Truck sits proper now and the new AT4W’s are a little more aggressive than their predecessor which I like. Truck doesn’t seem to notice the additional weight of the tires.

How has this setup treated you with snow, ice, hills, highways? I drive 200 highway miles to the Sierras where a sheet of ice often forms under a layer of snow on a 6%+ grade . . . just to give you a sense of what I'll be dealing with, LOL.

    Thanks @arrampico !

We're working on a new website, but I added the 17" Five Stars and 17" Six Shooters (Tundra specific version) to our existing website last Summer.

    More info:

*This is important since most wheel manufacturers do not provide their max tire diameter data, and larger tire diameters lower the effective load rating. We wanted to offer a load rating that exceeds the Tundra's axle rating (2,500lbs load rating per wheel x 2 wheels per axle = 5,000lbs per axle) with the largest tire diameter that most customers would likely install on their Tundra.

If we had only certified the wheels for use with 33" or 35" tires we could have made the wheels lighter weight, or we could have advertised a higher load rating. These wheels are light, strong, and they were made to handle up to 37" tires on a Tundra.

Since since I've already posted a few photos of 2022+ Tundras with the 17x9" Five Stars, here's an example with 17x9" Six Shooters and 37x12.50R17 BFG KO2 tires (courtesy again of our friends at The 4x4 Center in Vermont):

Loving this trend of plus offset Dustin. Definitely getting ready for LC250, GX550, 4th gen Taco, and 6th 4R market.

I found a wheel I really like in a 22x10 with a -18 offset. Does anyone have a similar offset that can tell me how much farther out the wheel sits past the fender opening?

    Lots of stuff!
-18 offset will add almost 2" to the poke from what is shown in the pic from @FNWheels above. That will be very aggressive looking. I think you could find an aftermarket fender flare to cover most of that.

    @FNWheels Dustin, those are sick!

Can you make the 18” BFD’s in the brushed silver color next year?

18x9" +20 6x139.7 BFD Flow Formed weighs in at approximately 22.5lbs. Maximum recommended tire diameter for the BFD is 35".

The 17" wheels I posted above are a little heavier because of the increased maximum tire diameter (37"), and the really heavy duty reinforcements that we built into the wheels. However our 17's are still considerably lighter weight than most aftermarket and OEM wheels.

Thanks! I'm pretty excited to see the new models from Toyota.

    Thanks @arrampico !

I'm bringing back Hyper Silver in the 18x9" +18 5x150 BFD due to popular demand from my 2007-2021 Tundra customers. If it catches on we can make it in the 18x9" +20 6x139.7 version as well. I'll be posting pictures of the new hyper silver color in about 60-75 days.

That's correct @PBNB . The difference in stance between a 10" rim width with a -18mm offset and a 9" rim width with +25mm offset is approximately 2.2" per corner.

Consider that the wheel with a 9" rim width and +25mm offset has about 1" of poke (give or take). That would mean that the wheel with 10" rim width and -18mm would stick out about 3.2" past the edge of the fender (1" + 2.2" = 3.2"). As you mentioned, this would probably look too aggressive without large fender flares or lots of fiberglass work.

The other concern I would have for @SilveradoSwap would be the added stress on suspension and steering components.

Adding heavier tires, increasing the tire diameter and then pushing the wheel/tire assembly way out with super low offsets applies a lot of leverage and stress to wheel bearings, axles, suspension and steering components. I have a pretty strong feeling that there will be issues with premature failure of wheel bearings on 2022+ Tundras that have been running wheels with +0mm offset or lower (i.e. negative offset), especially if larger tires are installed.

The factory wheels on a 2022+ Tundra have an offset of +60mm with 7.5" or 8" rim widths. I don't like to go much lower than +12mm to +25mm on a 9" rim for the new Tundras. These offsets and rim widths still provide a much more aggressive stance without sacrificing too much.

We just don't know long term how the new, smaller, 95mm hub design is going to hold up to drastic changes in wheel offset and width, but my instinct and experience tells me that these hubs as well as the suspension components that were designed for high positive offsets aren't going to like extreme changes in wheel offset long term.

This isn't an attack on anyone with low offset wheels. I think some of the trucks with low offset wheels that have been posted in this thread look great, and we may even offer lower offset wheels for the 2022+ Tundra in the future if enough customers ask for them. We would just disclose first that these are very aggressive offsets so that the customer knows what they're getting themselves into.

All good info., I appreciate the knowledge. My concerns lie within a few things; first is the amount of tire that will be poking out, I don't mind a little, but one of the wheel companies selling them said the new wheel at -18mm offset would be 4.08" farther out than the OEM wheel, it sounded a bit off. If my stock wheel is at 60 offset and I move it to -18, I would expect about a 3.1" move of wheel face, not 4.08", either way, still pretty aggressive. I do have some concerns about possible debris kicking up but not a deal breaker. And third is the wear on components. I found a different wheel, similar color and style but its a 22x9.5 +20 offset. I would think that would be a more reasonable wheel setup.

    4Play is the -18 offset: https://4playwheels.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/4P83-20100-6D55-18BR-1.png

    The shop informed you correctly.

Your OEM 20" 1794 wheels are 8" wide with +60mm offset.

Compared to a 10" wide wheel with -18mm offset you're looking at a difference of 78mm (3.07") due to the offset and 1" due to the 2" difference in width (1" to the outside of the wheel and 1" to the inside). 1" + 3.07" = 4.07" wider stance than stock (per corner).

If you're looking to avoid slinging debris down the side of the truck these specs are definitely too aggressive.

The 22x9.5" +20mm offset wheel is still quite aggressive, but not anywhere near as aggressive as the 20x10" -18mm offset wheel.

I need to keep the search ongoing. Looking for a 22" wheel, bronze or similar color, that will add a slight bit of tire poke. Thanks for the information, very helpful.
