    Anyone with Traxxas UDR experience?

I noticed 3 holes for the front part of the lower rear trailing arms, what do these do? Currently the arms are set in the middle

Thanks for that! While I was at it, I also ordered a 45T crawler motor and the Integy boat trailer for my Great Planes Stinger: Current configuration is pictured.

Stock dual motors are size RS-550. The aft motor has a dual output shaft. Two 7.2V NiMH batteries attach with hook/loop tape to the port and starboard gunnels inside the deck and the control board / servos are inside a box that could be waterproofed. (Length 24" Beam 9")

What motor / ESC / Battery upgrade would you recommend? Why?

Be technical. I can solder PC boards: Could switch from series to parallel wiring with a servo or switch and the motor cooling system in Traxxas Blast is interesting. It uses a 540 motor and the beam is a meager 5.75" but if/when available I might get one.

They are for adjusting the tilt angle of the dampers.

Done that a few times on 3s. Finally switched to a metal gear and that fixed that problem. Until the pinion gear walked and took it out.

Yep.....I'm going to the hobby shop this afternoon to see if they have one. That's probably why most of the new stuff has all metal gears. I need to look at all of my Arrmas to see what they have. I know the Kraton is a metal spur gear, but I don't remember what the Infraction and Senton has. Slow at work so I'll pull the part numbers from the diagrams and google away.

Tried trimming the SC body on the Senton 3S for tire clearance. The adjustable body post wasn't going to work on the front and I would end up trimming alot off of the wheel wells to get it right. I ended up going with a different body all together.

Yeah either way it has to be replaced. I'm hoping that I can get the parts. This is in my 6S XMaxx. The 8S uses a cush drive setup.

It appears to be a bad bearing. It has a wobble to it.

    Bearings go all the time.
    But ..
If I spray everything with WD-40 after almost all driving sessions (wet or dry). I'll spray it heavy on the bearings and then hit it up with compressed air for blowing off the excess. This will keep the bearings smooth and extend their life much longer. Also "wets" the look of the plastic for a bonus newbie shine.
Only takes 5-10 minutes and my trucks always look and run like brand new.

Went to the shop today to get some pinions for my son's truck. I also ended up with an RPM product for the rear of the Kraton, a new body for the Maxx, and a new SCT. The addiction is real but I should be good for a while lol.

Its the 4S that was released back around October. If you watch Arrmas trend, they are releasing updated 4S vehicles even though they have 6S and 8S vehicles. For example, the Kraton 6S handles better than their 8S version. The Mojave 4S was actually rated by a few sites as the top release for 2023. https://www.arrma-rc.com/en/product/1-8-mojave-4x4-4s-blx-desert-truck-rtr/ARA4404.html

Ran the Mojave 4S for the first time today. Holy crap that thing has some serious body roll and rear end droop. Going to look into stiffer springs.

Ditto! New lawnmower in the garage for two weeks. I've not even unboxed it. I'm glad the west coast spring hasn't really arrived yet, although the apple tree thinks it has. I'll have to get outside and do something with myself other than RC modelling -- eventually.

This thread has been very helpful with much needed info on advances within the hobby. My Lego / Erector / Revell youth has revived, full scale. Like riding a bike or roller skating again.

Cleaned up the Stinger and installed a 12T brushed motor and ESC. Also changed the Tundra High Lift motor to a 45T. I think both were the right choice for how I'll use them, and they can share 5200 NiMH battery packs - have 6 now. Displeased with the look of the Tundra roll bar, I obtained the 'K' parts for the other Toyota High Lift - a double black chrome tube roll bar. Fitment required cutting exactly 1/2" from the rear braces and 3/4" from the front bars. Rears are screwed from under the bed with 2mm screws. The forward bars are hollow for LED wires and had to be tacked with CA glue.

This is the www.Tundras.com website. So, I'll describe the Tundra High Lift parts used to modify the Great Planes Stinger into something like a scale Malibu Wakesetter LSV 23.

Step 1: Tundra High Lift roll bar is flipped 180 degrees, backward. A Tundra servo pivot ball is centered above it - a hook for the tow rope.
Step 2: I have chosen Violet/UV LEDs to act as black lights for seeing the deck and/or any bioluminescent plankton and possibly (for the very brave) night skiing / wakeboarding.
Step 3: Wakeboards will be crafted from Tundra High Lift snowboard accessories and mounted to the outside edges of the tower with bits of Tundra kit sprue material and/or a modified roof rack.
Step 4: LED Lighting: It's USCG approved with a fire extinguisher, horn and flares (or gun). The anchor/running light mast is Tundra High Lift clear lens sprue material: 3mm diameter. Flatten the butt-end and also the top of a white 3mm LED and glue them together with CA. (Be sure to round the top and polish both well... it's brightest when not opaque. Nav lights are covered with clear roof lenses from the Tundra kit.
Step 5: It's not a wakeboard boat without Boomin' Tunes:
Since buying my 'real' Tundra, I also resuscitated my passion for audio and high fidelity. I've been studying Class D amplifiers, Bluetooth and SD card-reader tech. I've successfully built a functional 3.7 watt stereo amp (part# MAX98306) driving two 1" dome tweeters. Aux-in is an MP3 player weighing only 138g. Although BT capable, the range is only 60 feet. So, it can't stay ashore. Additional BT amps and some speakers are in the design phase. I've gone deep on research: With the NiMH batteries, I'm limited to about 12-15 watts. However, there are two in the boat and I could run the Tunes at 14V for closer to 30 watts. That seems a bit more than necessary, especially because I want to pilot the boat too!
Step 6: For realism, it will want a teak swim platform at the stern, spandex wetsuits and a cooler on the deck: useful in the Tundra bed also.

    Progress:

I need to charge some lipos and take some rigs out. I was trying to get out of the hobby over the past few months but hardly sold anything. Now the bug hit me again. I didn’t need it but I found it locally on fb marketplace for a deal I couldn’t pass up. Came with a nice castle brushless setup as well.
