I'm a water spot remover experimenter - if I see one I haven't used, I buy it and try it. So far the only one I've seen that works, albeit with elbow grease, is some stuff made in HI. They say you don't need tools or machinery to apply it, and you don't, but I bet a small buffer would make it a whole lot easier because this stuff only does the trick if you really work it into the glass with a circular motion.

For glass, and glass only, Barkeeper’s Friend in liquid form takes them right off. It’s cheap and you can get it at Walmart. It’s a great household cleaner also. Do not let it get on your paint though.
Short of using a polisher, I think the best thing I’ve tried for water spots on paint is Optimum MDR.

Yes sir. Someone recommended that to me for some shower doors with major hard water deposits years ago. That stuff is amazing. It’s got abrasives in it, but I haven’t seen any negative effects on glass. I just let it sit a minute and wipe gently.
There’s a spray version also but it doesn’t seem as effective to me.

You can save yourself $5 and get an Uberflex instead of the flexzilla (flexzilla pressure washer hose is made by uberflex).

Hyperwash is on sale at Woot for $18.59 delivered. I'm having a hard time not picking one up, as I'd like to try it, but still have 3/4 gallon each of Gold Class and 3D Pink soap.

Forum has tons of guides/stickies all about. Generally you'll want two buckets, a pH neutral soap, a quality microfiber wash mitt and drying towel, and a sealant of your choice for protection.

Nonacid cleaner for wheels along with a couple wheel brushes, 3D glass concentrate is good for glass and a gallon jug will last you a lifetime and relatively cheap (use it around the house too).

YouTube the two bucket wash method and you'll be well on your way.

@Ckatz53 - how do you tell if a wheel cleaner is acid vs non-acid?

It'll be advertised as such. Meguiar's Non-acid is what I use. Gallon, dilutable.

That's what I figured, thanks. It's the acid ones that don't seem to call it out. I have some stinky Turtle Wax Hyper Foam that does a good job, but isn't so kind to my van's 20+ year old aluminum wheels that seem to have lost their coating, so I guess it's an acid product. I think I'll try the Nanoskin non-acid cleaner which will dilute 4:1 so I'll be good for a while.

Unless you are really in need of a wheel cleaner....why not just use a diluted APC to clean wheels? I have wheel cleaners on the shelf, but rarely go to them....would rather use my Bilt Hamber Surfex HD at 10:1. It's great for tires and wheel wells too....and it's never damaged a wheel yet.

Some APC if not diluted properly can damage stuff like some powder coating finishes. So depending on what wheels you have, you could cause damage that you can't clean away and they'd need to be refinished.

On the up side.....have used this on powder coated wheels without an issue. I'd hesitate to go any stronger, however

Yeah it's just some, and honestly my experience is no telling if/when it's going to do it. I've just seen problems with folks chemically burning cheaply powder coated stuff with APC. Obviously, brand of APC and whatever dilution they used could cause it too. I'm just hesitant to do so on stuff I'm not sure how it's going to react (new to me cars). On my own stuff, I've used APC diluted 10:1 no issues...but I knew it wasn't going to be damaged because Simple Green is rather weak, especially when diluted, I know the dilution ratio is proper, and I've tested it before ya know? Spraying APC on a new-to-you wheel may work out just fine 9 out of 10 times. But I don't want to stumble upon that 1 in 10 time with a new client lol.

Adams has a sale going on now, 25% pretty much everything. (Code: refund) I picked up my new pressure washer, ($100 off!) and some refills for cleaning materials.

That's a lot of money for a 1.4 GPM unit. How is the warranty that comes with it?

I think one year. Their customer service is fantastic so I’m not really concerned. My buddy (who does ceramic coatings) has had his for a couple of years with zero issues.

I still have my gas one, but will sell it as it’s too damn noisy.
