Haven't changed out the OEM headlights yet, but I'm starting to research them.

Please dont kill me for asking rookie questions, but I have never had a newer truck and I am new to the LED game lol

I ordered these the other day off of Ebay. I want to swap out the regular bulbs for LED's but I am lost in the sauce as to what I will need. Again, Im new to LED lighting so can someone point me in the right direction on if I will need resistors or any special harness? Just whatever I will need so they work right and doesn't hyperflash.

Also, what are some good LED's that wont break the bank. Are the Sylvania ones any good?

    Thanks in advance!!

The lights should need nothing extra for install but they will affect your radio reception. My signal stinks and the dealer stated it was because I swapped out the lights. To check I put the old ones back in and everything was fine. Liked the lights so I am living with it.

Really? Thats wild! Thats not a dealbreaker for me though because i rarely listen to the radio. Usually XM or just music from my phone.

As far as I know it will connect right to the OEM sockets. I haven't received them yet, they should be in tuesday or wednesday. I was just wondering if there was anything else I need to get to prevent the blinker hyperflash because I plan on swapping out the original bulbs to LEDs.

Upon looking at those plugs, they probably just plug into where the bulbs plug in now.
Some aftermarket tail lights still use a bulb for reverse, but these don't seem to be that way.

It doesn't say anything about internal resistors, you'll just have to install them and see if they hyperflash.

If they do, VLEDs make some nice resistors.
You can mount them behind the tail lights.

    Just for rears.

You might consider getting this one if you have any intention of putting LED turn signal in front and rear.

Man, thank you so much!! I ordered some 2018 OEM headlights with the LED DRL's to upgrade the front of the truck as well so I will be getting the 4 LED Turn signal hyperflash fix.

For the front of the truck I was going to order the OEM headlight conversion kit from headlight revolution which i put a link for. Do you know if VLEDs has the same thing? If so ill just do one big order from them.

Apologies for another dumb question Im about to ask but im assuming I will be putting a resistor behind each light on the front and back?

This will cover 4 LED turn signal bulbs.
4 LED TURN SIGNAL HYPERFLASH FIX (vleds.com)

There are 2 and you mount them behind the tail light.
That will cover the fronts as well.

I haven't had much luck with anything Headlight Revolution makes.
    I can't recommend them.

Did you purchase 2018+ OEM LED headlights?
I did and used an @iHacker harness.
I also added an LED bulb for the turn signal DRL.

All the info is in this link.

Damn dude, that truck is bad ass!!!

Yes, I ordered the 2018+ OEM headlights https://www.ebay.com/itm/264573407607

Thanks for answering my question about the VLED stuff as well.

I will order the harness from @iHacker tonight.

What LED bulb is that for your blinker and what LED's did you use for your headlights?

Those headlights don't have replaceable lo/hi beam 'bulbs'.
They are part of the headlight.

I used these LED bulbs for the front turn signal/DRL.

So I got those tail lights in and that connection that is the 2nd connection in that picture is for a resistor that came with it. I havent been able to install them yet with work but I was planning on doing it tomorrow.

I got the VLEDs 4 bulb resistors in as well. Obviously those are better than the cheap little gold resistors they sent with the tail lights. Should I just use the VLEDs on the back or save them for the front if I need them for the headlights and if so, will that mess with the ones on the back?

The 4-bulb VLD resistor you will mount behind the tail light will cover the front and rear.
    One on each side.
No need to put additional resistors on the front, it is the same circuit.
All the resistors do is make the truck think it has incandescent bulbs in place.
Hyperflash is caused by the flasher module detecting there is a burned-out incandescent bulb in the circuit.
A burned out bulb changes the resistance in the circuit, and causes the hyperflash to let the driver know there is a burned out bulb..
The resistors provide the 'resistance' with the LED bulbs to trick the flasher module.
Not very technical but it's the best I can do.

A few years after installing mine one side started to hyperflash.
Come to find out there was simply a bad connection on the resistor.
I fixed it and everything was fine again.

Make sure you get a good connection with your resistor wire taps.
The OEM wiring is so small you need to make sure it gets a good connection.

    Good luck..

By the way, did you replace your whole front bumper or just get end caps to make it all black?

I just put those on last weekend.
They are black TPO Bumpershellz they kinda match the center black OEM bumper parts.
They are covers to go over your chrome bumper ends.
    Easy to install as well.

    @EC1 hooked me up.
He also has them in paint to match body color, the price of the black TPO is hard to beat.

If you order you need to designate if you have parking sensors or not..

Got my headlights, tail lights, the harness from @iHacker, LEDs and VLED resistors in and got it all installed and they gave my truck a whole new look!!

Bumpershellz for the front and back are ordered and now Im moving on to the grill. I ordered the OEM hood bulge to color match and now I am hung up on the grill. Im thinking about getting a 2018+ TRD Pro Grille and I am finding mixed answers about it fitting my truck. The website in the pic below says it doesnt fit but is that because the 2016 doesnt have the TSS and thats why theyre saying it doesn't fit? If thats the case then obviously that's not an issue, I just cant find anything definite on whether it will physically fit my truck. It looks identical in overall size and holy shit, why is that garnish the same price as the grille? I found one on ebay for 17 bucks and it will just be to fill the square hole in the grill and I wont need it for what the garnish is actually intended for with that sensor.

Glad you got it all installed.
Yes them saying a grille wouldn't fit your 2016 is because of the TSS stuff.

You'd be better off finding an old-style MGM TRD grille without the TSS stuff..
