Mycousin is a Firestone mechanic and replaced the bad differential actuator on my 02 SR5 that I recently bought from my brother-in-law but he said it still isn't engaging the 4wd? Thoughts?

My brother in law had gotten it looked at prior to me purchasing it so when I bought it it was disconnected and he had said that there was a fuse that was pulled as well. My cousin doesn't think the fuse that was pulled was the right one. He also said that when he replaced it he could see it was broken.

U should crawl under it and see if the front driveshaft is locked to the front diff or tcase at all.

Ok so it spins freely. That means the add actuator isn't locked nor is the tcase. If the add is new and installed correctly... I'd head towards the tcase actuator and diagnose there
