Yes, the bottom pc is 4ft, next pc is 3ft, next pc is 2ft and top is 18 inches, I wanted enough room for the tires to sit on comfortably. I had some 2x2 furring strips laying around and thatx what I used for the front stops

Do you have pictures of the trap door you made? The skid plate on my Tundra doesn't have one and the nice guys at the lube shop stripped the bolts so you can't remove the skid plate. I was going to buy a new skid plate but am curious as to how you made the trap door yourself.

Not saying mine is the best but works great and takes about 30 seconds with drill driver and socket to take off plate to access filter housing

My local dealer sells Toyota Quarts for $7.27. Not the cheapest, but from what I have researched it has a higher Moly content than other oils.
My 21 has a little over 10,000 miles, so it gets changed once of twice a year.

I’ve been using the Kirkland 0w20 with the Toyota oil filter every 5k miles. Haven’t had any issues.

I already had scrap pieces, my local lumber yard didn't have any 2x12x12ft any ways, so... ..It's mostly 2x12's, some treated, except for some 2x6's to fill in what I needed..the treated one is heavy ..Bottom to top, 4FT, 3FT, 2FT, 18In. per previous post.. So you would need 2ea. 2x12x12Ft.. I know others use the HD Rhino Ramps. These are super easy to drive on.....Used them last night to replace the broken ground strap for the tranny, secure more of the exhaust heat shields..

at the time, I paid around $10.00 apiece for the 2x12x12, had several pounds of construction screws so it was cheap, also, I work at a lumber yard so lumber and building materials are plentiful

I like my job ginormous but they slide on the concrete garage floor all the time. Had to buy rubber mats to put underneath. I bet these homemade ramps do way better

Changed the oil for the first time today....well that sucked lol. Luckily I did it on the street but I swear, a solid quart is now on the road.

Takes a few times to get your process down. Had a few conversations with myself that began with, "well, I know what not to do next time".

I attempted to lmao. I bought the motivx tool from someone on here. I didn’t realize how it worked; I assumed I started threading it in and it pushed up and drained. I didn’t realize that it was a two piece tool and that I needed to loosen the knurled side first. I tried to screw it on and oil went everywhere lol.

Next time will be a hell of a lot cleaner

better than a quart or two on the garage floor! I screwed up the o ring placement on my first attempt and started the truck to back out of the garage = oil everywhere!!!! It was a bitch to clean up. But you live and learn and now it takes me 20 minutes to change the oil.

do yourself a favor and install a fumoto valve if you haven’t already. In fact, I think I have an extra if you want it. Just let me know and I can send with a fiber washer for you.
