Truck Height

Can someone tell me if this truck looks like it's lifted? The bottom has undercoating all over, but I don't see and spacers on the front. However the truck definitely seems higher than a stock height truck should be.

 

Looks like its lifted in the front. It probably has a suspension lift, so it doesn't have blocks. The lift is built into the aftermarket shocks and springs. That's what it looks like to me.

 

Can you just give us some pics of the front suspension so we can tell you what it's got or doesn't?

 

It's all coated in black undercoating, can't tell a brand or color or anything. I could measure the wheel gap tomorrow.

my guess would be just front. But that’s just a guess.

 

I agree, because of this. Bilstein 5100s on 3rd perch up front, stock springs.

 

I actually think front and rear. Maybe aftermarket heavy duty leafs in the rear or an add-a-leaf ("AAL") kit. Take some pictures of one leaf spring and the stuff surrounding it also.

 

I agree. I think the ass is tooted a bit higher than stock. More pictures would help

 

Measured the front and it was 22.75" from center of hub to middle of fender. Didn't measure the rear ‍♂️. It fits in the garage as it sits now, so height is okay, but I wouldn't mind if it was a little lower. Just want to know so when I buy new shocks I get the right things. I was looking to get the regular yellow/blue Bilstein's, but maybe the 5100 or OME are a better idea. Long term I wouldn't mind some bigger wheels and just adding side steps. Do not plan on off roading at all, most rugged terrain will be a dirt road.

Excuse the black goo all over, I plan on getting it blasted off and an appropriate coating put on at a reputable shop local to me. Tundra noob, so open to suggestions, but it does appear the front drivers shock is leaking fluid. I do enjoy the process of getting a used vehicle and fixing it all up to my standards.

You should really read through this. Especially the part about rust. There's a lot to dissect here from your photos. You have strut spacers up front, and lifting blocks in the rear. Both easily removed, and generally not recommended methods. I would be very careful about "blasting" anything under there. By the looks of the frame rail in picture #3, you have some serious flaking that's been covered up by the "black goo". God only knows what other atrocities have been covered up. Hopefully I'm wrong. Structural integrity would be the first thing of concern before putting any money into other components, IMO.

Yup, definitely lifted, pucked and blocked. And yep, coated heavily, wonder what's hiding underneath? Scary stuff.
