Those gaps next to the light and grille are normal. With the Sequoia grille you trade those tiny gaps with a 1 1/2" gap between the bumper and the bottom of the grille. Most people who do that grille swap either don't mind the gap, learned to live with it because it's still a sweet grille, or try to mitigate the gap using rubber weather stripping.

that’s kind of what they came back with. Not sure it’s with the $350 mark up, I guess until you need it.

thanks! I think I’ll stick with my current grille. I’ve got my light bars mounted in there. I also ordered two new plastic trim pieces. I’m going to have them professionally painted but will use the ones I did in the meantime.

When I was shopping for those lights VLAND stopped selling the OEM look Sequoia lights and only had a three pod projector look Sequoia headlight set available. I was lucky to get my Form set for $849 due to their 15% off black Friday sale. I'm thinking Form bought out their inventory and marked them up.

Hopefully I’m giving my input in time for anyone else considering lol but the Morimoto’s are hands down the best aftermarket. One of the few headlights I found that retained the motor for adjusting the light up/down. Easy plug and play design. And that are also DOT approved, doesn’t mean much to most but to me it tells me they’ll last a lot longer than some cheap set from eBay.

I ended up getting the Form Lighting Sequoia headlights. I have Morimotos in my car but ultimately I thought the shape of the Form headlights looked more modern and from images I’ve seen the DRL’s are crisper than the others.

No other aftermarket seem to look as modern or have DRLs as bright as the sequoia style. I feel like changing out the headlights and grille made my truck look 10 years newer!

    I think you’ll like em!

I had mine on since November and they went through a brutal 6 month Winter with zero condensation or issues. The Sequoia light conversion is clearly the best way to modernize the look of a 2nd gen Tundra!

How are you liking the Form Lighting lights so far? I am about to pull the trigger and get those for myself. I’ve been torn between those and Morimoto, but the shape of the headlight housing just really adds a unique look to the truck that I really like. OEM headlights would obviously be best, but then you gotta get the harness, trim pieces, etc. I like how Form just comes with the whole package.

My truck has been in the shop for almost a month waiting for a transfer case, but when I have had it I’ve loved the headlights. If you can find them sold as VLAND headlights I think they are the exact same but cheaper price. My mights say VLAND right on it.

I used the SDHQ Hidden winch mount. Takes the place of the crash bar behind the factory bumper. You do have to cut out for the fairlead.

the winch control box is mounted in front of the radiator. Can’t remember the company that made that mount off hand.

Damn, hopefully you get it back soon! Only thing bothering me is knowing there that gap between the grill and the headlight. I feel like my OCD would drive me nuts. Only fix being the sequoia grill, but then you have a worse gap at the bumper line haha. I guess it’s just the lesser of 2 evils. That or going traditional style with morimoto. Do you notice the gap much in person?

There is no gap. I just had the filler panels being painted.

    here is the final product.

edit: oh you’re talking about the corner of the headlight. Yeah that doesn’t bother me.
