What have you done to your 1st gen Tundra today?

Did you spin the bearings while the cv's were out? Too loose or crunchy woulda been a sign. Or feeling the needle bearing? I spun mine comparing the old axle to the new axle to see if there was any extra play or anything. But everything felt normal, so i havent done the egcs bushing yet.

 

They're on the differential side for each axle.

The truck makes the same noise in 4 wheel drive as 2 wheel drive.
Sounds slightly worse when turning right.
When I jack it up and shake the tires at 6 and 12 o'clock they are solid, no movement.
I got under the truck and shook the interior part of the CV axle on the driver's side it moves up-and-down about 1 to 2 mm. Feels clunky.
The interior part of the CV axle on the passenger side also moves a little but only half as much as drivers side.

20's w/o spacer caress the knuckle. (But dont rub the flap or the frame at stock height)

1-1/4" seems about perfect for the front. Probably need 1-3/4" for the rear.

From outside of stock tire to tire on my 03 rear I'm getting 74"
Front is also 74"

 

if i can sell the 17's & 20's i can roll that into helping the needy get to hidden falls or gilmer. Maybe steak dinners for everyone that shows up. I'm not prepared to fold a pinch weld yet. Gotta add some preload to my springs, see if it makes more clearance. If fishninja's 1" spacers will work with the stock front studs i might buy those and buy these fat spacers for the rear. Worn out 33's might not fit but i need to try bmf's 255/85's.
