It’s a complete, upgraded cooling system to help stuff as much cold air into the turbos as possible in conjunction with a tune. I have access to a pre production kit and will be installing it here shortly

Looks great, can I ask why you went with a Uni ball instead of a traditional ball joint? Just wondering from a maintenance standpoint.

Uniballs have zero maintenance, just run them until they wear out and then they are cheap and easy to replace, don’t even need to remove the arm to change them out

Finally got a chance to tow with the new tundra and I was impressed. My off-road truck and trailer weights just over 7k lbs and the motor had plenty of power up the steep grades on the way to the desert. Trans also work’s excellent, never hunts for gears and downshift on the grades. I was most impressed with the handling of the truck, the King 3.0IBP shocks are a game changer. I can’t even put into words how stable and planted the truck rides at speeds especially though bumpy, twisty mountain roads.

For reference I’ve always had GM 2500HD trucks w/duramax motor motors so I had low expectations for the tundra. Needless to say I was blown away, this new truck kicks ass and the suspension mods were worth every penny!

Congratulation and enjoy it This is some serious upgrade. I forsee close to 600 hp with a tune.
Curious about the 3.0 shocks. I have a neighbor that was looking to install those and he was told that those are for a long travel and he needs to upgrade everything as per the TRD 3" kit.
I see that you changed the upper arm only. Did you had to change anything else ? Also , how much lift in the front ?

    Thank you

3.0IBP are amazing with the stock length suspension… I just added an upper arm and have the front coilovers cranked to give me 2” lift

Few more questions about the coils over bud, please.
Did you adjust the height at all or is how they came ?
Did you measure how much real lift you got after ?
I see there is space to adjust for less lift but I wonder if this the minimum preload required on the spring.

    Thank you very much

I cranked a couple of turns into the collar after the shocks were installed. Gained about 2” of lift over stock and you could run the truck at stock ride height if you wanted to

I am at lost of words here This proves that you can't always believe what you been told
Been told by a well established distributor, here, that these shocks have a minimum of 2" of lift built in, they are built for long travel kits and they are too harsh on the street. You just prove him wrong. Thank you very much
You wouldn't know by any chance the rating on those springs ? 600 lbs ?
    Really appreciate your help

I will check the rate tomorrow but I believe they are 600. This 3.0 is way more plush than a 2.5 because the larger diameter coil spring supports the same weight with a lighter spring rate and less preload. Honestly this tundra with the 3.0 rides way better than both Raptors that I’ve had and a million times better than my wife’s 2500HD Denali. I’ve also got a buddy with a 23’ Platinum of King 2.5’s and after riding in my truck he regrets not going 3.0

OP Love the build! I am essentially doing a lot of similar upgrades to make a "Capstone Pro" did your Platinum have the AVS as well? I am struggling to find a good solution to increase tire size, very interested in your suspension setup. What are your tire wheel specs including offset? Any rubbing?

Thanks and yes it had AVS, I just u plugged it. Couldn’t be happier with the suspension setup, worth every penny. Wheels are method NV305 17” +25mm. 315/70/17 Toyo RT and there is zero rub. All I did was pin the felt fender liners back with a push pin.

Sounds fantastic, thanks for the response! Sounds like I'm just going to need to unplug the AVS system, this would be the connectors right at the front struts I assume. Did this result in any flagged codes or issues with the truck not liking those connections unplugged?

Nice! I see you did the King 3.0 with Built Right UCA's did you swap any suspension components in the rear or just adjust the air for the taller ride height to match the front? I can't decide if I want to do 35s or step up to a 37 I think both look good. I love the look of your truck man it looks so good!

I just leveled the front and put 35’s on it. The truck doesn’t sit very tall so the 35’s really fill out the wheel wells

Could I get a little better explanation of what you did with the AVS. I’m looking to purchase a tundra with it.
Are you still using the Avs rear air bag but just unplugging it doesn’t allow it to go down?

did you actually remove any Avs parts in the 3.0 install? (Is that only front? Or any of that in the rear?

All I did was unplug the the front and rear shocks so the adjustable ride control no longer works. The air bags work independently of the AVS shocks and I absolutely love the air bag set up with the king 3.0IBP rear shocks. I tow my off road truck with the tundra and the air bags automatically maintain the same ride height no matter the load
