So the order the parts "a la carte", and you'll just have to pay a little more.

Ordering LBJs for my 2001 AC. Anyone have any recent experience with Ourisman Toyota of Richmond since they bought out McGeorge Toyota? Or other recommended Toy OEM sites? I decided to use ARP 663-1004 bolts instead of 9008010066

In the 15 years, I owned my 2001 Taco TRD 4x4 from 2008-2023 I probably dealt with 10 different sites. I checked back and the majority quit selling OEM parts. Seen Joe Joe pop up on FB but have not joined . . .

I ordered lower ball joints and lower control arm from them about 2 months ago. No problems on my end.

I wish they had front axels in stock. I have a leaky boot and am just going to swap out both at the same time.

I very recently received my large order from Ourisman...including all four ball joints. I was a pleased customer. I also just bought some more stuff from Sparks toyota right before christmas. Sparks had a way better deal at the time.

Supposedly Toyota is discontinuing the OEM reman axles. I was only able to get one recently, and I'm still waiting on that to make it to my house.

Quick question about LBJ’s. My truck has 160k on it, it’s an 06 2wd DC. Toyota maintenance shows that the LBJs were done in 08 or so with 35k miles on it under recall. Was there an updated part that’s less likely to break? I know these trucks have issues with LbJ’s but with all my other trucks they were a “replace when needed” and not a replace before needed type deal.

I’m planning on doing suspension in the next few months and am wondering if I should just replace them while I have everything apart.

I can't ever place his accent. Almost sounds like Eastern European but those look like Ontario plates.

Sounds German to me. @bfunke what say you?

    Possibly eastern European (Poland, Czech).

I listened to several accents in the online accent archive and can’t place it. Definitely sounds like a Germanic language.

I used to be a McGeorge loyalist. They always seemed to have the best deals, including shipping. Ourisman has the same deals, but their shipping charges are about double what McGeroge used to charge. I have started to dabble in other dealership online stores and have found at least one (Springhill Toyota) that offers free shipping.

I ordered and received the 04006-62134 ball joint recall kit and 90105-12316 bolts from Ourisman a few weeks ago for my late '04 DC. Turn around time and packaging was about the same as it was with McGeroge.

I complained to Ourisman about the shipping charge, and they told me they would match the shipping of any other authorized internet parts dealer. I found that by shopping around I could not only find lower shipping, but lower prices as well. Parts is parts, but dollars is dollars.

Wanted to share a tip. The OEM lower ball joints and outer tie rods for my 2002 came with new castle nuts and cotter pins. I didn't know this so I wasted money buying those too.

The lower ball joints did not come with new dust covers. I'm having to reuse my old ones.

2005 AC 4x4 UCK40L-ARBSKA, I have such a hard time figuring out what parts I need for some reason. Here is what I have so far for my LBJ. Is the Castle nut correct? What is this bolt #90105-12284 and do I need it, it was only produced 03-04 and I have an 05 but I see no other options?
    upload_2024-5-4_0-17-23.png
Besides my LBJs I am replacing my UCA with SPC kit. What parts should I get for that that are not included? bushings and bolts?
New 6112s up front also and I need bump stops and rear leafs and so much more but I will leave all that until after have a complete front suspension parts list and order some of it.
    Thanks in Advance, Garrett

If you buy the lower ball joint by itself, not in the kit, it comes with a new cotter and castle nut. Truth be told, if you intend to replace everything (mine were in fine shape), you're probably better off buying individual joints.

What up! I enjoy all the advice and knowledge you have about tundras! Now its time for OEM ball joints for my 2005 tundra 4wd DC and while I am there I have some bearings that going to press in while I am there.... also have seals, hub, and upper ball joint but not OEM (I think this was okay..) Just wanted to know if what I am going to order is correct or should I add/delete parts?

I can't help on the bearings, and I believe they're not as much of bitch as the rears, maybe @KNABORES can toss up some input.

Note the kit (04006-62134) doesn't come with a new castle nut, although it may come with a new cotter, so verify your nut is OK before ordering. Confirm your VIN range for that part over here.

I went with 90105-12316 for my '06 on the LBJ bolt. I'm not sure where you got your part number. 90105-12316 is good for 59lbft, but supposedly can handle up to 80.

After some calls and part# research, i think part #s i listed above are for individual parts.

Also, it appears part 04006-62134 [fits 06 AC V8 2WD, according to Ourisman Toyota] is a D & P sides kit: 2 LBJs w/rubber boots installed [doesnt include mount bolts]. Maybe all that was stated somewhere in all the LBJ threads, but internet search by '04006...' kept coming up blank..

In SanDiego, NormReevesToyota [also confirmed by VIN] = $190, $208 w/tax. I can pick up [avoid shipping], inspect and return immediately if not happy. BTW, someone please chime in on any of this if I've got it twisted...before i go start wasting time at the toyota parts counter...
    Caveat Emptor. [look it up]

replacing my lower control arms soon, should I replace my lower ball joints? My current ones have 55k miles and are 3.5 years old and in good shape.

I will be replacing the bolts for sure.
