-2C. That sounds like a great day, no bugs and not too hot for working. It is only -16 here this morning, not too bad but I like your -2 better!

After 2 years of ownership. I decided to get TRD running boards cause she likes to use the seat panel like a slide getting out. So hope this helps.

Peeled the shitty 2-day-old tint job off so I can have it done somewhere else. Had them redo it twice and there's still hair and trash behind it. I'm a perfectionist so it just isn't acceptable.

Looks great all de-chromed! Did you paint the moustache or cover it with vinyl or similar?

actually neither, it’s a genuine toyota/lexus part that’s unpainted, but comes gloss black. it’s not ‘midnite black metallic’ but u can’t tell unless u hold a very bright led light up close.

I would definitely use heat to soften that adhesive. I used a heat gun when I removed the tailgate letters on my taco and some floss. Most recently, when I got my tundra PPF'ed, my installer also used a heat gun to remove the door trim molding.

    Did some plowing.
Had to order a longer adapter to put the batt box farther away from the tail gate as I had a 1/2 inch.

It was warm enough today, washed off the snow and grime then finally installed mud flaps. They are OK, meh. I like the Rockblokz material and finish better, have those on my Tacoma, but even the small ones they make are huge. Not a fancy wheel build for this truck so these will do I guess…. sigh
    :playball:

I still like this type of mudflap over the stiff stock ones. The flex helps if you break through and drop down on a frozen puddle.

Finally got all my new switches in the switch panel. Rock and Ditch lights on the way. Installed the OEM metal pedal and cover for brake. Ordered the amber marker lights for the grill from Toyota but was told Friday they are on backorder because they are being "redisgned" so ordered a set of lights from Amazon but there was no mounting bracket so I had to make my own.

Had the windows retinted (much better) and installed the fogs that came in today.
I like your steps...which ones are they?

Also, did you get a windshield strip at the top? If so, do you have the factory dash cam? I want a strip on top of mine but the tint guy said he had to cut off the camera to tint and then retape it. I didn't want to do that. Thinking maybe he can just tint up to the edge of it? Wouldn't look bad from inside but from outside it might look like there are gaps in the tint.

The gas pedal is the whole assembly, which is crazy because it's literally a pedal cover with folded metal tabs over the original assembly. It's actually the easier of the two to to replace, just a few bolts, unplug and install new one and plug it it in. The brake pedal cover is a PITA. The rubber surround is super stiff and is formed to wrap around the metal part of the pedal with little tolerance. I used some PB 100% silicone spray around the rubber and you have to work the rubber around to get it to clear the metal pedal. I used a small flathead and a combination of 90 degree pick tools to work it over the pedal. Start with seating the right side of the pedal first so that you end up with the last corner on the left (closest to the driver door), the last corner will be a bish to get seated. You can use the pick tool to pry out on the rubber lip then use the small flat head screwdriver to slide between the lip and the pedal as you are working it over the lip. Took me nearly an hour just to get that pedal on :frusty:
