Parts ordered to do this. I'm going to sit and design a circuit to tie them into the door lights and switch, and then use a diode to block back feed into a 2nd circuit which would be the reostat/resistor for adjusting the instrument cluster lights when headlights are on. Not sure if I will the 2nd part will work out but sounds cool.

Hi all ! Does anybody know or have a detailed video and wire color and location to just hook up foot well lights to work with the overhead rocker switch on a 2022 Toyota tundra 3rd gen.I have the led strips mounted and wires hanging down just need somewhere to tie in that will operate with overhead switch than has off on and door control switch. Can't find any existing wires for a socket. Tied into door lights but they wouldn't go off. All experience greatly appreciated! Thanks smileytn1

I haven't, though I'm savvy with electronics. It would be pretty straight forward to mirror the stock bulb like on the passenger side. You can purchase sockets with wire pigtails on them. Tie that into the existing footwell light on the driver's side with some 18 gauge wire, mount it all nicely and you'd have a twin light installed. If I was going that route, I'd probably swap the drivers side for a T10 socket and put one on the passenger side as well. The stock bulb is so tiny and T10 lights are easier to find replacements for.
