I don't use Alexa. I realize I'm probably 1% of the population that has zero interest in talking to the air and having things happen but call me old fashioned.

In the middle of a 3800 install, found this post, is this the correct configuration for the OBD wires?

    IMG_3682.jpg

What about the antenna and amp turn on, where do they go? I don’t plan on an antenna, can that be depinned?

That all looks ok- but it's been while for me. I don't have the other pic, and I don't even remember that connection.

Cool, thanks, did some more digging and I think it’s correct.

What about the parking brake bypass, just cut the green one in the harness and connect it there? Do the antenna and amp turn on do the same thing, so I could use one for the amp and one for the bypass module?

    Update on my experience:

My AA won't stay connected when I'm using Waze and streaming music. It used to do it intermittently but now it's almost immediate as soon as AA is pressed and it goes into the map screen, audio skips out, volume control is lost (via steering wheel and on the HU), and the radio goes back to Home screen with the AA option grayed out. Usually says Android Auto has stopped. It'll try to reconnect only to reach the same aftermath until I manually stop AA in settings or DC from the hotspot. The XM worked fine with Waze on until recently - now it's glitching intermittently.

I thought it was my phone's wifi/BT connectivity that was causing the problem but now I'm not so sure. We took a road trip in the Sequoia, which has a Kenwood, and the AA would drop in that too.

    Anyone have similar issues?

Note: There was a recent update to the app as of Nov 1.

I had a really tough time connecting after an iPhone update a while back. I wound up deleting and reinstalling my phone and it has been fine since. You probably have, but if you haven't, give it a try.

Hey guys, getting ready to reinstall this in my 19. My 19 has gps and my 17 didn’t. Does anyone know if I need another antenna adaptor? When I go to flash the Maestro, it asks which accessories and have and one of the options is for the Maestro ACC-SAT-TO2. Looking back on my original order, I did not have that, just a Metra 40-LX11 adaptor.

    Thanks for any help!

Can anyone help me figure out my backup camera problem? Got the unit installed today. If I use the camera button on the radio, the backup camera comes on. If I put the truck in reverse, I get nothing. Any ideas?

Did you plug into the specific cable that feeds the camera power when you're in reverse? It's usually labeled.

I plugged the brown and yellow rc cables together that were labeled. Is there another connection?

You need to trigger the reverse to the Pioneer...it's a purple wire.

Damn it, I figured I’d miss one thing lol. I’ll have to pull it out when I get back home or tomorrow morning. Does it go straight into the back of the HU?

It should be a purple wire directly on the Pioneer harness.

Would that connect to a factory connection or is that something that connects to the TO2 harness? I hope I’m describing those right.

I believe it connects to the TO2 harness. I'll have to find my instruction sheet to refresh my memory.

Thanks for the help. All my stuff was pre wired from Crutchfield, so I guess I need to pull it back out and make sure I made all the connections. I really thought I did. Unless anyone has a picture of the specific connection they can share.

This may be it. I soldered and wrapped all my connections, and then dressed the whole harness in a sheath, but I snapped this while it was all still hanging out. IMG_4612.jpg

Crutchfield has the 3800NEX on for $599 right now if anyone is looking.

My 7600NEX irritates me at times with its delay in touch response. It's was alot better after the 3.1 firmware update a few months ago and now it's slow.

My wife complains about an echo at times, but only her. I don't know why it would be inconsistent, maybe other people are just not telling me or complaining.

That's what I find: it just seems to be slow, and then it's fine. Same with connectivity- some days it refuses to pair with my phone for seemingly no reason. I have to stop the truck, go into settings and THEN it'll connect.

Anyone know the support contact info for Pioneer? Preferably an email. I tried filling out their web form but when you click to submit, it's a dead link (of course)

It auto fades. Sound will go to the passenger side for a bit then correct itself. Lately, it fades to the rear speakers.
