I would think it's around 550whp, and knocking on 700 at the crank.

I'm at 12.5 and haven't seen 13psi, which is my max that I want. Thought of tightening exhaust but will err on safety to keep backpressure and boost low. Also spraying at 8.5psi w/m for added protection with 10.1 afr.
    Me no want boom!

Hahaha I can only imagine! I'm ALL about the "new high score!" AND "happy accidents" but the cost of building these right makes my boss...cough, I mean my wife, say WTF too loud! :annoyed:

When my other two projects (engine swaps) are near complete, I'm going to source a 3uz and start the build nut by nut!

PS, your intake is massive and WILL net you everything more once relearned!! :hungry:

When I was having the p0101 and p2103 codes Grant at Torque Rush was very helpful in troubleshooting and product support. We discussed different TB manufacturers and reliability. Come to find out a lot are made in the same factory and are sold at different price points. For dependable TB operation stick with GM offerings in 90mm, 95mm and Nick Williams 103mm. There are also the Hellcat TB's that I was thinking about for bolt spacing. I decided to stick with GM type so I can revert to a smaller size if I have everyday drivabilty issues as all I have to do is rescale. I wish HPT could delete learned values and enter a TB size! Would really make it complete.

So the only main concern is the length of relearn? I wonder if my buddy at Toyota can reset the learn values via tech stream after I install all this

I was going to ask if anyone up by me in the Gig Harbor /Tacoma area has a tech stream. It's getting better shifting but still long revs and delayed upshifts. According to Grant at Torgue rush HPT for GM has a throttle relearn and you can enter the TB size and cuts learning time way down.
I reached out to a couple shops but some don't have it or were a little clueless as to what I wanted...

Not seeing anything specifically calling out throttle relearn in Techstream. Engine/ECT "reset memory" only references the trans ECU after ECT ECU or valve body replacement. ABS system has a zero point reset but that's for ABS system, computer, or G/yaw sensors.

@VWTim Thanks. I thought it was mentioned that tech stream had the funtion to reset it.
Shifting is getting better but still hunts for 456 shifts under normal loads. Some 102-103mm TB's have that issue. Good for wot and romping but not great for cruising. Can always go to a 90-95mm TB or pony up the bucks for a quality TB that has a good chip set for good drivabilty.

You can get a techstream cable and the cracked software along with it off Amazon for like $45. Only need a laptop. I can upload v18 if anyone needs it

I’m willing to bet that quality tb like a Nick Williams etc doesn’t have the issue. ( I hope anyway ) lol

Grant from TRP reached out asking what scanner I used to reset the learned values. I'm using the Foxwell NT510 Elite with the Toyota pack. He also suggested that anyone with HPT access to put in a request for them to include the "reset throttle body learned values" function...the more people requesting the better.

Sucks that Techstream doesn't have a function for it...the wording in the Toyota documentation seemed to suggest it was part of the ilde learning procedure for cleaning/replacing the TB. I interpreted "Perform memory reset" as the "reset learned values" function that I found in the Foxwell.

I was emailing Grant at TRP concerning quality of the TB's and he set me straight. I sent pics of my internals from the TB I got. He was saying a lot of the TB's are made in the same factory and just rebranded with different price points. Even the NW made in the US but most likely has overseas chip sets. Concerning the shifting he just sent me this info.
"With a larger throttle opening there is greater airflow(= torque) for a given % throttle opening. So the larger you go, the more it will be off from the values that were learned for the stock TB. It has nothing to do with the operation/make of the TB, just airflow/torque vs throttle position."
So hopefully my shifting will sort itself out. Gotta stop reading other forums with their own issues...haha

Found a shop and luckily the technician has a SC'd 08 Tundra. He hooked me up for a reset. Hopefully it sorts itself out now.

Snap On solus ultra or Pro. I just saw solus on the scanner. I told him most shops didn't have a decent scanner or no clue what I was talking about. He stated most of the shops around don't use the higher end scanners.
I did the throttle reset key on pedal to floor and back 5x's key off then drove around varying throttle for 20 minutes. I was in heavy traffic but could feel it shifting better towards the end. Will keep on taking it out to smooth the 456 shifting.

It just dawned on me you're looking for better shifting action. The Techstream option will reset learned shifting patterns at least.

I opened a case with HP Tuners support this week requesting the "reset throttle body learn values" functionality. Their email from this morning is below, but I don't have my current tune file...I emailed ProSpeed to see if they will send me the file. Fingers crossed they email it to me.

    "
In this case, we need the following:
    1) The stock file you read from the PCM;
    2) The file currently in the vehicle
    3) A VCM Suite Infolog pulled while connected to the vehicle in question. You can find instructions here: https://hptuners.freshdesk.com/supp...000064334-how-to-generate-a-vcm-suite-infolog
If you are having troubles please see the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BaH2q1E-Zo0
Once we receive the requested information, we will look it over and get back to you with the next steps.
    Thank you,
    "

@armyoffoo they wrote me this morning also. They didn't ask me for info just do I have their product. I'd imagine they will follow up with the same data. You could mention that others have inquired concerning this function.
    Thanks

They sent me the same email initially, this was the follow up email. Also, I realized that I have an older version of my tune file that I'm going to send them, and see if that satisfies what their looking for. Will let them know others are also interested.

Ok, I also received the email with requested info. I told the another was sending in info and your first name. I asked if they need more than one and other owners were looking for this function.

Update: using the (midgrade)102mm TB shifting has been settling down but 1 to 2 shifts were still high in the 4000rpm range. I could try to change the torque settings in hpt to ease the shifts but I'm throwing the towel on it. I'm removing the 102mm and will be installing the 95mm GM 12669871 that @armyoffoo posted about.

I was plagued with p2103 and p0101 codes. Stalling out at idle and at highway speeds. This is caused by my mid grade TB, $250. The TB motor cant handle the constant voltage and craps out on me. Luckily I have experienced this with a VW TB I had. Where it stalled and I would put it in Neutral, restart to regain control of TB. I don't have the funds to get a Nick Williams 103mm high end throttle body.
The Gm 95mm seems to be ideal for the TVS 1900 and will see how that goes. The D2A was never the problem and threw no codes. At this time I can't swing picking up a NW 103mm TB. I'll install the 95mm and see how it goes. I will say that in 3rd or 4th gear from 3000rpm on up the 102mm pulled hard and I wished the TB didn't have issues holding a constant voltage.
If your going this route get quality parts!

Sorry you're having so many hurdles to overcome, but sounds like you've got a solid plan going to the 95mm. You are probably aware, but it will require re-pinning two wires on the D2A plug to use the digital input wires, and a complete re-pin on the TB plug. Also, I'm pretty sure the LT throttle bodies use a different bolt pattern than the LS.

Did the "reset learned values" have any effect? I was worried that the 102mm+ would cause issues with idling/drivability (based on internet forums...), but sounds like it's more of a manufacturer's issue? I thought you mentioned Grant had said that most of the motor assemblies are created from the same product line, so manufacturer assembly/parts selection or motor programming would be the variables? Did he have a list of approved manufacturers?
