Did you magnuson guys get a belt routing sicker or a CARB sticker with your kits?

Yes... (Edit, sorry. I missread, I didn't get a belt routing sticker. I thought that you were just looking for the diagram.)

Carb sticker yes, belt routing is one of the last page of the manual.

I was in a rush and didn't have spacers. Used a Dremel to cut off nub and flat cut top of bolt hole on mount. Need to touch it up with black paint marker still

I need to try this now also. Went to change my oil today, realized I didn't have an oil filter, so started poking around my new style Radium pcv can. Pcv hose was "damp" and return hose had signs of vapor. Unscrewed the can and it was bone dry.

I also bought a new Toyota PCV valve to swap out if pulling the overflow ball doesn't help.

Finished up the install and put a few easy miles on it. So far, so good. Took about 16 hours (over 2.5 days) to get done. Mostly solo, although a buddy of mine did the spark plugs and helped with getting the actual blower into place. Super straightforward install, and the instructions walk you through every little step. The only unexpected issue I had was the plug they put in the boost port being super tight, and the soft brass hex socket stripped out trying to break it loose. Somebody needs to tell Magnuson that a little brass plug doesn't need to be torqued to 100ftlbs. :argue:

Gonna need one of @snivilous smaller pullies. Being at 7000' sucks

Ha! The exact same thing happened to me. I though that maybe I'd used the wrong size allen wrench (metric vs. SAE). I needed to use an e-z out to remove the brass plug. I'm glad I had one.

EZ-out probably would have been the right way to do it; I used a slightly less sophisticated method: hammer and blowtorch

Just picked the other Tundra up from a fresh paint job yesterday. It's a very metallic Corvette black now. This is the 4.6 v8. Trying to find some little performance bolt-ons for it but doesn't seem to be much out there. May just swap air filter, throw an exhaust on and get a custom tune.

Yes. Thank you. We've all exceeded 4PSI.

This doesn't address air density either but they probably assume sea level at a given temp and humidity.

Probably less relevant with modern engine controls.

Definitely an old school chart. The Magnuson TVS1900 kit for the 3.5L Tacoma pushes 6 - 8 psi on stock 11.8:1 pistons… I think we need to start looking into some direct fuel injection conversions!

Would you be referring to parts from the 1UR-FE or another engine?

Yes. The 1UR-FSE, 2UR-FSE, and 2UR-GSE. The heads bolt right onto the 3UR-FE block… Actually, we will need a custom timing chain cover in order to mount the intake cam VVTi. @snivilous Break out the scanner and get busy.

If you are serious… I have almost everything here, complete 2UR-GSE and 3UR-FE engines, 1UR-FSE heads.

Any idea on belt sizing for the 76mm?

Based on @Wynnded measurements and some CAD, the 76mm will need a ~0.851" shorter belt and the 70mm will need a ~1.349" shorter belt. That's based off a ~6.375" belt wrap length with the stock pulley:

    upload_2023-12-19_11-27-59.png

    Stock belt is: 116.188" K081153

So 76mm needs somewhere around 115.267" and 70mm needs around 114.769".

There's a gates 115.063" K081145 which might work for both? I haven't looked at other belt brands.

Seemed like the belt that came with my kit was way longer than it needed to be. The tensioner had to take up a ton of slack.
