I kind of hate this thread, just when I think I know what I want someone posts something else and I change my mind. :annoyed:

Currently a stock 2024 Platinum, but I think I'm leaning toward a Cornfed 2/1 with 275/65/20 Recon Grapplers.

Same. I must have changed my mind a dozen times since I started reading this thread in Oct.

Are those amber LEDs up front? If so, where'd you get them?

That's a great look, but I'd want to lift the front some - maybe 2" or so and perhaps 1" in the back. Looks awesome though!

Does anyone have any experience with 305/70R17 tires? That is what is suggested from the company I got my wheels from. Not a size I hear about often. Any pros and cons? Will be in 2024 platinum with factory 3” lift.

It’s a nice size to live with. Not too tall and wide. My two wheel drive Tundra never got stuck in sand while running these Goodyear MTR. But good luck finding them. For some reason it’s been on back order for awhile now.

So I got the TRD lift kit put on while I had 285/75r18 and the installing dealer had to disable PCS which also takes away radar cruise control. They sent me the tables. According to their tables my tire is 34.8" diameter and the limit is 34.6" (or an overall camera height increase of greater than 4").looks like 35x12.5 is a diameter of 34.5" so I am just over by 0.3". Actually if you look at other acceptable diameters 34.6" is good so I'm only 0.3" over. I'm hoping I can find someone local to swap wheels and tires with me so I can go back and get PCS turned back on. They said they'll do it for free but they just don't want the liability of doing something outside Toyotas specs. I'm in california zip code 91020 if anyone wants to help out :)

Put new tires 275/65/20 on my TRD sport. No level/lift, stock suspension. No rubbing or issues. Liking the new look so far.

Here are the real world specs on your tires, the 3" factory lift is actually 2.5" so you maybe compliant to the cruise control specs.FYI.

The dealer goes off of a spec sheet from Toyota and they won't budge. They don't care about real world vs what's on the spec sheet. If the sheet says 285/75r18 and the lift gives an overall front end lift of over 4 inches they won't calibrate it. I tried to tell them I won't hold anyone liable for anything but they won't budge over the 0.1 inch height exceedance. My rig rubs the sway bar at full lock so I may get smaller tires just because of that issue too.

So with 285/75-18 on the trd pro rims with the trd lift kit here is the clearance between the tire and the sway bar. Debating on new rims or smaller tires. Smaller in width and diameter to be safe...

This is the point where the tire is rubbing the sway bar under certain maneuvers

They are these. I'm very happy with them, but I'm putting on a C4 full bumper in a couple of weeks, so I'll post them in the classifieds shortly.

Curious and I’m sure this has been asked already, but what PSI do you guys run at with 295/70/18?
I just got my Baja Boss on my TRD pro 22.
It rode really stiff and realized they had the PSI a little too high but also don’t want to undershoot it.

With them being sticklers for not calibrating but yet they slide on letting you go with rubbing on the swaybar, hmmm I would bet my bottom dollar is the fact that they probably sold you the tires.
Which is a liability,up here most tire shops won't install tires with a 3% closeness range due to insurance and liability...

BTW your Rig looks great with the lift & nice color to!

Picking up my 24 limited OR tomorrow. Going to order some 295/65/20 Toyo AT3s. From what I’ve seen they should have no rubbing issues on stock setup

Is anyone running raceline wheels? Its odd I cant find many companies that run a positive offset and I dont want to be running Methods like everyone else is.

I had Raceline 950b Gauge wheels on my Tacoma because I could get them in negative offset to get the nice looking concave face. Unfortunately 0 or positive offset in that wheel looks kind of dumb in my opinion because you lose the concavity which is the entire selling point of the wheel.

Not a huge fan of any of their other offerings really.

My plan is to go with Brink wheels for the Tundra in a +18 offset. Get a decent concavity without a ton of wheel poke and not everyone is running them. Plus they look about as close to an OEM style wheel as you can get compared to most truck wheels.

Yah I am not a huge fan of the concave stuff but its more of a offset issue. The poke is kinda a bit on the 0 and not a lot of companies offer + offset. I was looking at some KMC GRS wheels but same thing just 0 offset. I refuse to go Method like the masses.

Went down from 285/75 r18 to 275/70 r18 to avoid rubbing the sway bar with the trd lift kit... I'm happy with it. Now I need to sell my set of barely used 285/75 r18... let me know if you're interested.
