    Thanks again for the info.

Have you by chance noticed any slight increased vibration and harshness when driving over potholes or ruts? That has been my experience when going from hollow to solid bars.

However, the Tundra may not exhibit this trait due to its heavy frame and mount design.

    Incredible, isn't it?
MY2021 and prior front TRD sway bar: $250 on average
    (had one on my 2017)
    MY2022+..........................................$500 on average!

I really wanted to do this as well right when I got my truck, but still hesitating. Not that I can't afford it, but it's the principle of it for me (till I cave).
$500 for the bar, $120 for new links, and we're looking at close to $700 for a front sway bar upgrade???

    Color me unamused.

Ouch. I’ll just save $700 and go easy on the turns

I ordered from Sparks. Minus the bushings that I didn't need and will be returning. I paid $580 delivered to my door.

I've only driven the truck a couple miles since the upgrade. I took it through a couple round abouts, speed humps and rain diverters/gutters. And the body roll was much improved . But I don't see how a sway bar can cause the issue you describe unless some other suspension component is broken. I live in Florida seven month during the year. The Governor doesn't allow pot holes.:) I'll see how the truck rides over potholes on my annual trip to the Northeast.

I reused all original OEM fasteners. No additional fasteners are required.

Good to know. I’ll likely be ordering the parts. After over 40 years of suspension mods to o my vehicles, I can certainly attest that it’s money very well spent.

Okay....there was another post saying that you might try buying the cap and bolt....for that, just one bolt and one cap?

Look at TRD 3" lift kit instructions page 34. The instructions show these parts being added to the OEM sway bar links. I don't know why. I don't have a lift kit. The bolt (90105-A0232) X2 and (PT983-34340) cap, link adapter X2.

Einstein once said it’s all relative. I’m replacing rotted exterior doors in prep to have my house painted. I used to pay about $80 for prehung 30 inch door. I paid $300. I have double doors on my shed, which is part of the house. $2800! That’s just the doors. I’m doing the install

Thought I would follow up. I purchased the bolts (90105-A0232) and PT983-34340 cap, link adapters shown in the TRD 3" lift kit instruction. The instructions are for the OEM parts. I don't have the 3" lift. I just used those instructions as a guide.

The cap.link adapter can occupy that space.

Due to the thickness of the end of the adapter, you need to use a longer than factory bolt.

Would you be able to provide part numbers for everything you needed to order? It's just two items right? The rear sway bar the end links?

I second this, I’d like to bite the bullet and do this for mine as well but am confused what I should order (seems like the cap/link/longer bolts from the 3” lift make the install a little bit more solid - removing the extra spacing)

Also would like the part list! I’d like to get a front sway bar put in the same time I change my wheels.

    notice any difference in driving?

    thanks a lot!

I have moved from a 2008 TRD that I had added a rear TRD sway bar to that really improved my ride. I now have a 2024 1794. I wanted to add a rear sway bar to it but have not been able to find a parts listing for. I crawled under the truck and found what appears to be a lighter (thinner) rear sway bar than the TRD version. Has anyone else found this to be the case? Is a rear sway bar (non-TRD) standard on some trim levels?

Yes my understanding is that they all actually come with swaybars in the back, the TRD one is just beefier.

I’m also trying to find a consolidated list of parts needed for this swap on the 1794. The information should be here in this thread but there was a few different discussions that muddied the water a bit

Edit: misspoke, the front sway bar is different from the TRD, the rears are the same

    Thanks @ryanwgregg !

Based on those parts, pricing is coming to around $441 for everything needed! Definitely an easier price to swallow!

Thank you for the detailed posts on this! I’m actually wanting to add the TRD Pro front sway bar to my vehicle to go under the skid plate. Can you confirm that this sway bar will fit on my 24 Limited. With the TRD Off-Road package and 3” TRD lift kit? Should just mount up since I have the lift components? Do I need the bushings? Anything else? Thanks again!

The TRD 3" Lift Kit adapters for the front sway bar interferes with the TRD skid plate and the skid plate cannot be used without modification. Alternatively, some have said the adapters aren't needed. For me, I have rub on the factory sway bar with 285/265R20s. I've seen (via Westcott) that removing the adapters will solve that problem, and allow using the TRD skid plate. However, I don't know how it will impact suspension, alignment, etc. Does anyone have any advice or comments on removing the adapters?

Do you know if the TRD sway bar is smaller (narrower)? I think it's about 1/2" smaller, which may be just enough to clear.

I’m not sure what modifications, if any, were done. Purchased the truck with the factory 3” lift kit already installed and skid plate was also installed. The sway bar goes across the skid plate between the ground and plate. Though it’s a tight fit. Curious if I can get it between the truck and skid plate. I do have the red tow hooks installed where my bushings for sway bar is. Is that the adaptor? I too have rub with TRD factory wheels and 12.5” wide 35’s. Also on the truck when purchased.

I’m not sure honestly. It seems I might if my skid plate is installed. Though it’s a tight fit with the seat bar running between the ground and plate. Curious if it can go between the truck and skid plate. I do have the red tow hooks installed where my bushings are for sway bar. Is that the spacers your talking about?

I should clarify my statement... The sway bar is on the outside of the skid plate. It can't go behind the skid bar, for protection, without cutting out the corners of the skid bar. Sorry about the confusion.

The adapters are between the frame and the sway bar connections. They are maybe 1.5" or so and are between the sway bar connection and the frame. There's a longer than stock bolt used to secure the sway bar. I hope that make sense :)

Ryan, I have the TRD Lift install, and it drops the front sway bar down, I believe either 1.5" or 2", I know the kit also had the sway bar links and they were changed. Is there anything else one would need to change to the TRD Pro Sway bar. Thanks Clarence

While not the best pics, you can (hopefully) see where the rub happens. This is only during a very tight turn, either left or right.

I'd hoped the TRD sway bar wasn't as thick/big/round and it would provided just enough for clearance. I'll look into spacers next. I'm a bit of a noob and still learning all the fun of customizing and the tons of options.

I also figured I may just wait it out and go to 18" or 17" wheels.
