I'm running method with 25mm offset with 35 tires and mine rubs slightly at the bend at full lock. This is after I had it installed

Shouldnt be rubbing with that setup, might have needed to trim the body mount back farther before capping with the plate. Or possibly your alignment needs some attention to add caster/push the tire forward a bit. Do you have pictures of the body mount? @Master_tundra

Caster is at 3.5. Welder said, if he would of cut more into the body mount the plate would not fit flush on the back side. He said we can put a small triangle plate where the bend is at.

Ah thats it. If you look at the OP post photos you'll see; in some cases it's helpful to cut it so the bottom of the plate is pushed in a bit to help prevent rubbing. There's really no reason it needs to be kept flush on the edge of the mount so long as it isnt too large a space to weld closed.

@Relentless do the plates come with instructions on how to install? I don't have a welder so I have to take me truck to a guy to have him put my lift and the plates on. I know it doesn't seem too complicated but I just want to make sure nothing gets messed up.

They do not however it is quite simple. Hold the plate to the cab mount, trace the cut area, then rough cut and hold the plate back up until final desired contour/tight fit is achieved by grinding/cutting as necessary.
Weld plate in place a little at at time, keep a compressed air blow gun handy to cool the mount between welding in order to not burn/melt the cab bushing. Repeat for second side, then paint everything thats bare metal and you're done.

Edit: OP has a link to a post where I outlined the procedure in the thread previously a bit more in-depth as well.

I might have asked you this before and I'm probably gonna buy the plates regardless when I do my lift anyways but on a 2015 sr5 with a Toytec boss 3" lift, TC uca's and 295 70 18 tires will they be necessary? How about with 305 70 18 or 35 12.5 18?

295's- no rubbing, so long as you stay positive in the offset you should be fine (I was with +18mm offset 18x9's)
With 35's or the larger 305/70/18s you will most likely see rubbing.

So thinking about a set of CMC plates ... Those that bought these and had them mounted, how did it work out for you. I'm current running 20x9 +20 offset wheels with 1" wheel spacers making me about a -6 offset with 295/60 Nitto ATII'S. Would like to go even alittle wider if I can ... What say you?

What kind of welder do you need? I have a gasless/self shielding mig welder. Would that do it or do I need a legit mig or stick welder?

Dang, and that tire set up works? I barely have enough room to go bigger with my offset at +18

I started my current set up at +20 with the 295/60/20's with some minor rubbing on the front liner and had to remove the flaps. Since I purchased fender flares I wanted to prevent the tucked in look, so I bought my Bora wheels spacers to take care of that. However in doing so I brought the cab mount into play. i think my next move is to do the chop and see if that will buy me enough room to go slightly bigger and wider on my next set of tires.

Thanks Mark, but order already placed. I'm okay with it, it's not like 15% would have saved me alot more than the 10% I got on a $25 order. Just happy that RF made a good quality product for us and hope it will provide enough clearance for my tires.

I like the design you guys have with the bend. Today I installed a competitors CMC on a members Tundra. Not as much clearance as your design.

I highly recommend this design guys/gals.

I really hadn't found someone just yet ... Was thinking about asking a guy I worked with who is a pipe fitter and does amazing weld work. However ...

If Mark's guy charges a reasonable rate and is a good welder, maybe I'd try him.
