Need to read the code. Might be a coil misfire or fuel pump.

Auto stores like Autozone will read the code for free if you don’t have a code reader.

Did you do any other maintenance? Other than unplugging the battery? Maybe clean the throttle body, change anything?

Unplugging the battery for more than 10mins causes the ECU to reset and force a re-learn. It should eventually get better.

Unplugging the battery is not a proper way to clear codes. What code was causing the light to be on?

    Any new codes?

what brand of O2 sensors? Where’d you buy em from?

Did you do anything to address the misfire codes on the front and rear cylinder on passenger side; like swap coil packs with the mirror cylinders on the drivers side?

Do you have any plans to fix SAIP? (That’s likely why CEL was still on)

How old are the plugs, and what condition are they in, have you checked?

Grab yourself a obd reader from Amazon. They aren't expensive. It'll pay for itself in time.

Never buy parts on scAmazon or fleaBay. Huge source of garbage parts and counterfeits.

O2 sensors are one of the parts on these trucks where not using Denso brand often leads to problems. Just had yet another guy here last week with that exact issue. Upstream are the most crucial sensors for running operations. Replaced his cheap O2es with Denso (OEM) and poof, running solid again. It’s not the 1st time, won’t be the last. Not saying it’s your issue, but…

Any cheap reader from Autel will work for you and last.

It's a gimmick. Any bluetooth reader will do the exact same thing. Veepeak is one a lot of people on here recommend. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011NSX27A

You can download any of the free apps like the Torque Lite (or Pro), OBD Fusion, ELM OBD2 or any number of others to connect and do diagnostic functions.

Autel is such a pain in the ass when buying b/c they do this thing where there's little tweaks and they change the product number. And people on scAmazon advertise in different ways. But this seems to suggest the 329 is the latest/greatest and the MS309 is the cheaper, plaintext version.

    A couple questions:
    1. When was the last time you changed your oil filter and what brand do you use?
    2. Do you have any disconnected vacuum hoses?

I asked because a p0012 can be caused by a clogged oil filter and Fram isn’t exactly a stellar brand. Next time you crank the engine, just check the oil pressure isn’t too low, the oil gauge should be on the 1/4 mark or just under it when warm at idle (this might be different for the 05-06 models).

One small observation: He has a newer truck than yours, oil should be sitting right around the halfway mark. They changed the gauges in later years.

Cold start, my gauge is within 1-2 needle widths of the middle.

I got the Autel plugged it up red codes of misfire on 4 cylinders r/r all 8 plugs, all 8 coil packs and a PCV all codes came off. Truck starts idles fine put it into R or D motor fuel stutters and then turns off. Checked again with AUTEL READS NO CODES. DONT NO WHAT TO DO NEXT

I’m not sure about others here but I would most likely borrow from Advanced Auto a fuel pressure gauge that has the banjo bolt to Schrader valve interface adapter for our trucks and measure the fuel pressure to verify it’s at the right pressure.
