Beautiful doors! Are you also replacing the siding? The doors vs siding is like an oxymoron.

Tell me about it. They renovated their whole interior including windows, but couldn’t sway them from the T1-11 siding they have. Most of their budget went to the kitchen and baths. We cleaned it up the best we could, replaced a few panels and painted.

Finally got my NewAge cabinets in. Shipped on a pallet that was about 650lbs but it was packaged so well. I was very impressed with them. Started mocking it up, still need to mount to the wall and put up the cabinets. The garage has ancient fluorescent lights so have a couple 4ft led panels that i need to install too. Eventually will put down some flooring too.

I bought 8ft LED bulbs to replace my ancient fluorescent lights. Had to bypass the ballast but light is much brighter and no annoy ballast buzz.

OK, at first I thought they are your doors and you were going to put in another $14,000 set.

If we did the siding, we would have renovated her entire home. We highly suggested replacing the siding, she just didn’t have the budget, but wanted these doors to remember her late woodworker husband. Trust me, we all hated the siding.

Wow man, nice job on that kitchen!
I honestly feel that the kitchen is the hart of a house, it holds the best conversations, celebrations, holidays the best of times and the sometimes the worst, but its the common grounds of a good home.this is why I think it's the hart of a home.
    Well done!

    Cheers

Been thinking of doing this for a while. We need a dog door in our bedroom wall, but my wife hates them (security and weather).
So I bought a dog door and will use half of the assembly. I built a 12”x19” door frame with the proper groove for weatherstripping, and glued up a 1-1/2” thick door using 1x and cut grooves in it for a old time look (my wife may veto this old time design later).
The door will get a knob and deadbolt mounted high.
Now I can install the frame and door in the wall, and we’ll have weatherproofing and security. I understand this isn’t a steel door, but I did leave a little extra space for door expansion (about 3/16”), and I’m hoping with plenty of paint and proper maintenance, we should be ok. Right now it’s just primer, but I’m sure my wife will have a color in mind to make it pop.

Thanks! The pups already love it, and has made our lives easier by far. Our Pit had ligament surgery two months ago, and needed a quiet place to relax. Our side yard is perfect but needed easy access.
