Mine does that all the time. It always come back though. I haven't really bothered to try to figure out what the deal is yet though. My first guess would be that it's the heater circuit. :notsure:

Hopefully it does that, I got it in February, is there a warranty? Need to call Innovate later.

Hmmm, I haven't considered that. I've had mine for much longer, well over a year, so I'd likely be beyond any basic warranty. Mine always eventually displays, sometimes it takes longer than other times.

I let it sit about 10 minutes, got the normal HTR message, then back to the error, I'll see next time I start it up. Need to get the car off the trailer (when the sun comes up) & then dump the trailer.

Averaged 9mpg, had a few instances where I was going flow of traffic & leaving a reasonable amount of space between me & the car I was behind where an asshat wanted to pass, I was able to say nope & close the gap. The truck really is amazing!

After it got dark, I turned on the BMWs markers.

I had this installed at the same time as the boost gauge so I have no idea what I was making before this, unfortunately.

When first installing the supercharger it had the absolute slightest whine under boost. Once installing headers I could never hear it again. I noticed no difference with the smaller pulley. I was used to my SC Tacoma before this that screamed like a cat getting raped by a Pitbull.

Just took the car off the trailer, e8 still :( Hopefully Innovate sends a new one, otherwise, I'll be buying one. Could it have been failing & that was the cause of the odd AFRs?

    Boo

Wideband O2 sensors are not covered under warranty with Innovate.

Mine is pretty random. It'll be fine on the first start, and then at some random point during the day on a warm start it won't fire up for a while and I'll notice it at some point during the drive that it's working again.

Just to add to the "knowledge of AFR and gauges" in this badass thread...where, or can we add a link/column to the draggy spreadsheet, is the O2 bung welded in at? Can you all, whose having annoyances with the AFR gauges reading, remind us where you have your bungs welded in at? Which side, approximate locations..

Likely just for your wide-band afr readings. Your logs from the narrow band were showing an odd oscillation that @snivilous posted. Did those two coincide?

The wide band sensors need to be angled 10-15deg up form the 9 or 3 o'clock position depending on what side they are installed to prevent condensation/water build up that cause them to fail.

My AEM wide band started reading all over the place. AEM tech said that what they do when they fail. Not sure about Innovate but could be the same. Replaced sensor and back in the game.

Had no issues towing with the smaller pulley this weekend. This is the hilliest trip we take each year by far. It pulled great as always, lots of glorious sounds coming from under the hood and out the tailpipes. On a lot of the long steep grades I was watching my Throttle position, boost, AFR and IATs. Long sustained uphill pulls I was seeing around 6psi at about 45-55 (degrees?) TPS or roughly half throttle at around 2800-3000 RPM. I also saw typical rich AFRs above 40%TPS, and the highest I saw the IATs level out to by the top of the hills was 50 degrees over ambient. It would be cool to see how the other SCs on the market compare on post IC temps in that particular scenario.

When I looked the first time, I didn't notice that the gauge was indicating "02 E8". When mine isn't indicating it shows "02 HTR".

And back to the subject of "anomalies", I collected this log on Saturday. Didn't notice a thing until I happened to glance at the screen. I don't really know of a reason to be worried about it though.

Im no expert but I wouldn't be worried since the truck is commanding the change and executing it, and a pretty small change in AFR. Though it might be something in the tune causing it? But if it feels fine I wouldn't be too concerned.

You can probably buy that sensor from a number of places, as I recall it's made from Bosch.

Yup, it is 7.5 months old, hoping they will warranty it. Innovate says it's Bosch, sorry. RCA is intervening, said maybe buy another brand.

Anyone know what will connect to the harness?.

@e30cabrio do you have both valve covers vent to atmosphere? Any issues with that setup?

Also for wide bands, know AEM is pretty specific to model and year for sensors. Not sure about Innovate.

I now run hwy temp at 165-170 degrees. I used to run at 192-195.

call me crazy...I would have never thought it would have made the trans run cooler.

I thought it would just take longer to heat up.
