rubber bed mat for double cab 1st gen tundra?

I've searched and can only find them for access cab 1st gens. I need one for my double cab 1st gen tundra. anybody know which brand makes them? I've searched this site and google, maybe it's right under my nose. thanks guys!

 

i'm seeing this one... but it says 6.5ft bed... isn't that the length of the access cab and not the double cab?

Correct. Access cab is 6'5, double cab ~2" shorter, regular cab ~20" longer.

 

In the rockauto listing for that mat (I used 2004), it shows that it is for 74.3" bed (Double Cab).

Double Cab bed length = 74.3"
Access Cab bed length = 74.7"

Not sure that 4 tenths of an inch is going to matter much here.

 

Double cab is absolutely ~74" (6'2), some say 75".
Access cab is 2" larger, their number is totally wrong, maybe that's the measure of the mat itself?

I pulled the numbers from an old Tundra brochure, which matched the Westin info.

 

It's possible it's the inner dimension between tailgate and cab wall that's different from the outside edge length, then, and that's the discrepancy.

 

I've ordered it, will post some pictures when it comes in on Monday!

if the universal has the velcro to attach I'll probably go this route. I had one on my 2015 and it's really nice to have. Keeps stuff from sliding around and its super durable. If you carry a lot of equipment it doesn't rattle nearly as much either lol.

 

Meh, I have a plastic liner in mine. In my Ferd, I swung by the local Tractor Supply and grabbed a horse stall mat. It weights a shit ton, grippy af and its about 3/4 inch thick. I obviously don't cover the entire bed floor but it covers the majority. The bed is spray lined anyway. I just wanted it to keep shit from sliding around. $45 bucks. 'Nuff said.

 

I may go this route eventually. Let me know if this works out for you guys

 

Was a little confused on that website. These were the options offered. 2006 DC SR5 and mine should be around 72-74”/6’2”-6’4”

 

Yeah, dunno what they're smoking. Not sure I'd be buying from them if they can't get their sizes right.

 

Took your advice and went with the same. Great cheap and lasting advice. Mine will also be used by dogs and it makes the bed that much more usable.

 

Even my OG Toyota mat doesn't fit perfectly. Maybe it did when new. Never bothered me and I'm glad it came with the truck. I wish I had kept my bed extender sometimes.

 

On my 1st gen, the rubber mat I used was from my previous Silverado. It was quite a bit longer and a little wider. So it went up the front of the bed like that, except 6 more inches, and the the extra width by a 4 inches or so. Basically had built in "pockets" in the two front corners because of that. Looked kind of ghetto, but it was actually handy.

I’m really wanting to do what I did on my 2.5G. I cut the bed rug and added the US Cargo L track. Keeps stuff like floor jacks, spare tires, and cases from sliding since it allows them to sink in just enough to stay put when strapped down. Super sturdy since I was able to jump the truck and my 37” spare didn’t even move.

Also, I like the bed rug since it's foam and allows water to dry up vs sitting under a mat or drop in liner eliminating the worry of rusting out the bed. Not to mention that it's significantly lighter than a rubber mat

 

Do you have any pictures? Do you have the plastic drop in liner from the factory or bare metal underneath? Wondering if you can feel the grooves on the bottom of the bed.
