Anyone want to swap trd pro cockpit red interior for black?

After 6 months, finally found a guy with a black int that wants red, supposed to swap everything out 2mor.

 

Well???

 

We did swap them out yesterday, took us about 3 1/2 hrs. Its a headache but can be done.

yeah sorry, i ll get some pictures. everything is now a standard lunar rock with black interior aside from i kept my red seat belts, which actually i like with the accents. his should be the one your asking pictures from, he put my cockpit red interior into his solar octane pro.

 

Now find a platinum or whatever and convince them to swap their black headliner. I'll beef with toyota forever over that in my Pro.

Door panels are a bitch, just feels wrong ripping them off, plastic studs etc

 

But i do like the black better, alot better

 

Also, the damn airbag light popped on both our trucks, assuming it’s because we unplugged the airbag connector. We both disconnected the battery and waited 15 minutes before unplugging anything. Didnt work. Taking it to a dealer for recall and service, hoping they can reset it

 

Unless someone knows how to reset it on here?

 

Possible Carista could clear it?

 

I tried with carista but no faults showed up on airbags for it to clear…

 

Also, forgot to mention for anyone else considering swapping. All the plugs connected, all the switches work, heated/ventilated, memory seats, windows, locks, everything matched up as we expected even though his is 23, mine 22

no sorry, i dont, we raced a storm trying to get out of there while installing the seats so i didnt get any pics of his..
Just an update, took it to dealer yesterday for the airbag light. They "recalibrated" the ecu for the srs and everything is good now. Light went off and everything works as it should. Glad that business is complete. Warranty covered it.

 

He put red in a solar octane? That’s insane that’s def a one of kind. I’m curious how it looks

 

Its a matte finish from ScreenProtech, they also have a clear HD one but the matte seems to knock glare down better. Great product and reasonably priced.

 

And yes he put red in a solar. I figure its the only one in the country and he loved it. I admit , it didnt clash as bad as I expected. I actually thought it looked pretty good. Def not bad enough for toyota not to offer it at all. Each their own, he’s happy with red and im glad to have the black, never thought we I would be able to make it happen.. i ll see if i can get him to put some pics up of it

 

Another app called Carly may be able to clear the airbag error.

I’ve used Carly successfully on BMWs previously, for more complex coding and error clearing.

I think it looks good too.

My screen protech was the antiglare nav and speedo cluster. It was 54.95 and they had a 15% promocode at the time on top of that. If you ll email them, they can send u just the covers without the kit and its cheaper. Course, its been a year so im sure prices have gone up
