AC bed with DC tailgate? Also the rear cab corners are dented, maybe the original bed was part of a mishap? Wreck or off-road wise.

Weird, thought I answered this already but .... yeah, mech told me "you'll want to re-clamp, get a pack of OEM grease and split between the two. Don't bother with the wedge tool on scAmazon, get a tool that looks like this" (almost looked like hogring pliers). And if they keep slinging, diff drop. I said, surprised, "Diff drop, eh?", I personally didn't think the angles changed that much and from the diff drop I got off Toytec, I don't see how it would make enough impact frankly. But whatever. Will start with re-clamp. Gotta get under the truck, wipe off the sling (it's substantial), and read what size clamps are on it so I know what to order.

Nope, don't remember AC bed on DC truck and I usually remember stuff like that.

You’re good. I will say it probably looks like you lost more grease than actually have. And for what it’s worth I used a hose clamp for a quick fix and it’s been working great so far

    This was the wrong way:

Never mind. This damn website just pics and chooses when to accept pictures. Long side to the back. But you know shifty; he's gonna measure twice, install one.

Likely on Sunday if I can manage. Surgery on Wednesday at the ass-crack of dawn so I gotta get it done now, along with other things. I've gotta relocate the LSPV mount at the pumpkin also, before I go nuts. Brakes are so obviously favoring the front calipers right now it's aggravating.

Always short side to front, same as AAL. And they don't mark anything on the ATS springs, so ... you gotta measure everything.

I had to employ 3/4 drive breaker bar with a 3 foot cheater pipe to get my ubolts to either break or loosen. I picked up fresh ubolts from ATS. I hear ya about the LSPV and how heavy the springs are. I am happy with the ride though.

Center of front through the shackle bolt to the bolt that holds the springs together. Then from back shackle bolt to through spring bolt.
From memory, 29 1/2 front and 31 1/2 back. Simple straight line measures..

    Yup ^^

And those numbers are ballpark in the vicinity. One side is about 3" longer than the other, and it's not immediately visible to the naked eye.

I found that I needed to trim the ends off the bolts holding the springs together so that my rubber bumpers weren't being impaled. LOL my OCD isn't that bad... about some things... I left the retaining bolts as installed. You might want to hit them with a rattle can of paint as mine rusted pretty quickly.

You had to use manual tools? You need a new, bigger impact that has more ugga-duggas in it.
