Checked it after about 500 miles and it had maybe a tablespoon in it. It wasn't a lot but I was glad to see it was catching something.

I've had my JB4 for about a week and gone through 2 tanks of E30 making 6.5 more PSI, All I can say it the truck pick up from 40 MPH is insane for what the truck is. I've gone to 2 car meets and done experiments in MEXICO racing all kinds of of truck in similar class and won. I've raced Chrysler 300's with the V8's and and either won or kept up with them.
I am waiting for my throttle controller to come in and all hell will be let loose. Sleeper truck for sure the innocent Toyota tundra will take names

Hey, Terry @ BMS here. Working on signing up as a vendor so we can post here. :)

I've been working on a new JB4 feature, active airdam delete, for customers who want to remove the module for a winch, revised bumper/crash bar, etc, etc. It's basically a cable that plugs in to the factory harness and then plugs in to the JB4 harness in place of the OBDII cable. If anyone is interested in helping test it out just email me!

Anyone else have any long term updates on their JB4? Any long term issues? I wish there were more YouTube videos showing differences out there.

I haven't done any follow up videos yet other than the 2 I originally released, but all I can say is I freakin love it...I've had it for months now, run it on map 2 with 93 octane, and even that makes it way more fun to drive...I've had several of my viewers ask about follow up videos, so maybe I'll make one, but bottom line is I would absolutely recommend it...no issues to date, hopefully stays that way

I would appreciate that greatly. I have a ‘23 so I’m not concerned about the engine blowing. Would the 40hp estimate be on stage 2 or 5?

I wouldn't expect a similar bump in power like from other trims. JB4 only increases boost and depends on timing/fuel tables already programmed by Toyota. I'd bet that SR tuning is weaker along with lower boost and might not be capable of same delta

I'm honestly not sure how much of a gain you get on map 2, but you can definitely feel it… I tried to get my truck on a dyno for before and after comparisons but unfortunately the only place within a 100 mile radius of me couldn't accommodate the truck because of the width

I have an SR, I logged map 0 and each pre-loaded map 1-5. Was advised by bms that map 3 on 93octane was as safe as they’d suggest until further time could be invested on this platform. Truck feels much stronger with icon coilovers and 35” tires. Will it be worth it to everyone to justify paying for the higher grade fuel, probably not. I will add that I’ve only had the tuner installed for around 300miles however. I’d say it most likely puts an SR at approximately the same power range as the stock SR5. Stock SR seems to put 6-7psi stock, on map 3, I’m around 11-13psi. I believe a stock sr5 I once saw stock map run around 9-10psi for reference.

Has anyone experienced strange issues after putting in the jb4? A few things: my navigation thought I was in Asia somewhere and could not calculate my drive home because it exceeded the max trip distance (45 mile drive). This morning my driver side window got halfway down and started jerking itself down with a loud noise.

The window thing is common. Can't say I've had any GPS issues with or without the JB4. Did you remove it to verify the GPS worked again?

Is the window thing a result of the JB4 or just a common issue that the dealership needs to fix?

It's a dealership issue. Whenever those seals get wet, they cause that bouncing/jerking thing. Goes away after you lower and raise the glass a few times

Not to bug ya, but were you ever able to make a video? Curious what the stock vs even map 2 difference would be.

I got some information from BMS about this. I haven't dynoed or anything but you can tell the difference.

I am running an s&b intake and the JB4. With 93 octane gas, I am told there should be 40-50 more HP with map 1. Map 2 should get me an extra 10 and then another 10 with map 3. This is all 93 octane. Map 3 would be more with E30. There might be a few extra HP with map 4 and 93 octane but not much.

I have also asked about using E30 as the tundra says not to use more than E10 or E15 (can't remember which). BMS says it is safe to run E30.

Wow sounds fantastic but 40-50 on setting 1? Does it feel like that much of a difference?

Is there any risk of pinging or pre-detonation on map 3 without e-85? I think I saw it’s only a 0.5 psi difference.

That being said, is it worth the $600-700 or whatever it costs new with the Bluetooth kit? No, I wouldn't say so. Is it worth $400 for a used one? I think so. I paid $425 for mine locally and then had to spend the $28 on the app to be able to use it. all in for about $450 I think is worth it, but not much more than that.

My question is being mine only has 14k on it, should I just put a pedal commander on it for now to get rid of the lag then wait until even 36k (out of basic warranty) to throw it on?
I’m a long term guy (the reason I own Toyotas and run domestic service shops as a director lol)

Why wait until out of warranty? Drive in sport S mode to get rid of the lag.

Just my 0.02….almost every-time I drive I flip to sport and that takes care of 90% of the dead pedal problem.

I still sense a slight issue when trying to hit the accelerator hard when doing a rolling stop, but sport mode makes a huge difference over normal and reminds me of my ‘19 Tundra in regards to throttle response.

    Or why not Sport+ mode.
I'm either in Comfort or Sport+ mode, the Sport+ is pretty sweet, I can appreciate how it stiffens up the steering, suspension changes & shifting patterns on the tranny (opps can I use that word) and turbo PSI.

true, I do tend to switch over to sport quite frequently much like I did on m 14’ as it was no where near the same as my 08’ throttle response.
So essentially you are saying pedal commander not worth it? Just buy the jb4 and shut my mouth lol
