Had my drivers side seal replaced a few months ago. It fixed the wind noise for a while but now it’s back from the rear top edge of the door seal… awesomen

Same here! They replaced driver side window runner few months ago and it fixed whistling but now it's back! I can push on the top corner rubber piece while driving and whistling stops... Taking truck in for this same issue next week.

Taping up the window fixes this whistling and wind noises so this is the window runner seal again!

That's the same I had. The dealer replaced that seal and now it is quiet.

There are definitely 2 different noises being discussed in this thread. There is general wind noise which is acceptable for some, and then there is that high pitched whistling noise which will drive anyone crazy. Depending how bad the seal is, the whistling might be worse for some. My original seal was really bad; I had to put tape on it, especially on long road trips.

I’ve got a nasty whistling that bugs me. And I know it’s coming from the mirror. When I push the button to fold the mirrors, viola! The noise is gone.

How many miles you got on your truck?

I had exactly same issue with my 1794 2022 driver side mirror, whistling noise went away when I closed mirrors, however, after 2k miles closing or opening mirror didn't make any difference anymore.

Issue end up being the driver window runner (rubber seal around the window). Tape up your window just like I did 3 posts above, drive around and see if that will resolve your whistling issue, then ask dealer to replace the window runner. That fixed it for me for few months but now it's back whistling a bit... Taking it in today

Mine is a 2022 SR5 CrewMax with about 12,500 miles. It was built in late Sep 2022. I’ll try what you did above. I hope you’re right.

23 Limited. Had a 3h highway drive and I would occasionally hear what I can only describe as a flapping noise coming from the driver's window, a noise that would come and go. Really annoying, fortunately it didn't last too long, mostly between 10 sec and a minute or two. Anybody else experienced a similar noise?

Window runner replaced second time, whistling issue is fixed now... Still can hear some outside wind noise but it's tolerable.

They used same part number for the window runner replacement as they did half year ago when I had it replaced the first time.

They said that previous runner seemed a bit flat and did not fit well... Some bs like that

I got thrown out of the local dealership this week. Took my 2022 1794 Edition, $72,000 truck in with the ongoing wind noise and 8 other issues... other than falling on it's face when accelerating from a stop, they "can't replicate" any noise or problem I've had with this POS! I drove my 2009 Tundra for 13 years with no problems, except gas mileage.

Reference the door seals mentioned above, my 1794 has them. They have to be made from used milk cartons, the plastic is so cheap and flimsy. Here's my $10 solution from Amazon, which seems to have helped a lot with the wind noise:

Time will tell, sounds better the short distance I drove it after. Personally, I think the noise is simply coming thru it's cheap ass glass.

All you have to do is to tape up all window and door seams in question with painters tape and see if the whistling or wind noise stops. It's easy to figure out what's causing the noise

The wind noise concern is interesting to me. My 2nd gen sounded like I was riding in a freight train down the highway. My 3rd gen is not as quiet as my wife's Honda Pilot, but it is much quieter than my 2011, it's not even close. I suppose we all have different expectations?

I had the same issue, had the seal replaced once and the whistling came back. Toyota said they’re working on a new design to fix the issue. I ordered some EGR in channel window visors and now I have zero wind noise though! In channel visors FTW!

How's the fit? Is it scratching the upper part of the window? Just asking as last time I had an in-channel it scratched two of the four windows on my previous SUV. I was looking at the low profile window visors from AVS.

I must be lucky, this 1794 has less wind noise than any vehicle I've owned. Only thing I hear is climate seat lol

    What's the build date?
Mine is mid 2022 and still has noticeable wind noise on outside of the truck...

Whistling stopped after two window runners replacements

I've had a chance to take several road trips since putting those seals in, and can DEFINITELY say this reduced the wind noise by at least 50% ... not gone, but way better.

I have yet to purchase this kit. On a side note my cab is a lot quieter now that all this sound absorption material has been installed.

as a matter of fact, thanks for reminding me. I’ll purchase this soon.
