IMG_20230908_110218.jpg Not sure of the fix for this issue. The truck is new to me 2 weeks ago. I'm still going through everything and this is the latest challenge. Hopefully the picture is clear enough.

    IMG_20230828_054726.jpg

Received my plates from First Gen and with a little grinding on the broken door section and some JB Weld steel, reassembled the 3 pieces and it works perfectly. Couldn't be happier.
Next is LF lower hinge pin. I'm going to cut the head off and drive out the old one. Hopefully.

I can't remember if frame repair info is in that thread, I think it just says "few parts exist". If you need to repair/replace sections, this is the one company that sells parts: https://www.autorust.com/

Funny this is the one you picked, I was there last week by accident, looking for safeTcap. Thanks a bunch.

You're saying you have to repair/replace the frame?

Yes, it will have to be sectioned on the left side for sure. The right side, I'm not quite sure yet until my buddy looks at it. I posted some photos of both sides, I'm not sure where to tell you to go to find them, sorry. Since the truck was hit from behind I removed the rear cross-section that was completely rusted out in the middle.

Pics are in your Media Page/Media Gallery here: https://www.tundras.com/media/users/dcmille290.102829/

Note you can also drag/drop photos into the chat box here where you type messages and it'll auto-insert them inline into the message.

Looks like that thing took a pretty serious rear hit.

This took me a few hours this morning to get this tailgate even close to going back on and opening and closing. In fact, I had to drop the truck on the tailgate to get that severe bend out this far. Well not the whole truck, just the RF wheel and a 2" x 2" piec of wood. Worked better than I imagined.

Made a bunch of progress this morning, I have two photos with pieces that were removed, but I don't know if they are part of the trailer hitch installation or Toyota frame parts.Unknown rear frame piece.jpg Unknown frame piece2.jpg

Yes, I agree. But before I started they were both bent 90 degrees inward from the crash, so I feel I've made progress. Even if it's only 90%.

Ah I see. I thought it was the typical frame rot which was requiring replacement. I see that you're situation is a bit different.
