Your challenge will be there are 4 screws instead of two like the regular console. However, the real challenge or road block actually, is that the Sequoia Info Center electronics is different. The connectors are the same but pins 4/5 inputs are different between the 2.

Tundra uses 4/5 for Ambient Temp Sensor and Sequoia uses 4/5 to be able to display DTE, Average/Instantaneous fuel consumption, Cruise info....etc. That info comes from the Combination meter on Sequoia.

I just buy Michelins at Costco when I need them and they’ve a discount going. Haven’t seen a buy 3 get 1 free for a while though and last time I couldn’t even buy them due to the coronavirus shortage.

Been looking at the MICHELIN CROSSCLIMATE2. I've had 'em in a TireRack cart twice now, but haven't pulled the trigger, probably looking at $1250 after everything. Gonna need to do that really soon. Just had to plug another hole we picked up on the way home from the local grocery store. No clue what got it, but it went in and pulled out and was losing 15-20psi/mile. Had to get out and air up a couple of times on the short trip home, with my finger covering the hole so it would hold the air I was putting in. Wouldn't you know it: Couldn't find a nail anywhere on the street to stick in the hole! Figures.

Fortunately, it was at least an inch into the tread, so safe enough to patch for another few hundo miles.

 

That's the first thing I checked; the vacuum hoses. This would be a massive leak, as I had drastically decreased braking as well. Shouldn't be the intake manifold; gasket is new.

Plus, when I pulled the connector off the MAF it went into limp mode. So with that change I'm 90% sure it's the MAF itself.

 

Everytime I get close to needing tires I start drooling over all of the wild AT and mud tire designs and I’m gonna upsize this time for sure and end up with near factory P rated low cost semi-ATs that are boring. Boooo me.

 

Yeah, symptoms are pretty classic air metering/air intake fail. If you haven't replaced the MAF in the last 100k miles or more, I'd be pretty confident pulling that MF and replacing. Most LAPS carry the Hitachi MAFs.

With as few miles as I drive per year I justify the extra expense that way. The KO2's on my truck have been installed over 4 years. I think I have 32,000 miles on them. They are starting to show their age but I've got some time. $1,200 every 4-5 years isn't bad.

I'm also not going to stress over MPG since I don't drive that much. 285's just look better. I do go with load range C to save on weight.

 

Have you considered for troubleshooting purposes putting your Tundra MAF in the Sequoia ?
McGeorge says their the same.

 

I'm just going to keep blindly buying KO2s/ KO3s unless I move to Northern AZ, then I'll switch to KM3s.

Anybody ran Goodyear Duratrac's? I had a set of 33's on a truck. Was pretty impressed with them.

 

You have like 1 type of terrain out there. Come at me when you drive on something other than dust.

 

I just need something that'll last. Current tires have ~25k miles on them and are already practically bald. Firestones I think. Although I think 1 tire is different from the rest, had to replace it with used, sidewall puncture.

 

Back on TW everybody seemed to rave about the Duratracs and the K bro 2's.
I never used either and I've heard some bad things about the ko2's. I don't recall for sure but I think both have weak sidewalls.
I love my cooper AT3XLT's.

 

Can we team up and make a compound together in N. AZ? That's the only place I've found so far that I'd consider moving to. Those guys in Southern Arizona(aka the oven) are tougher than me.

 

I’ve never had a set of Goodyears I like. Their rubber compounds always seem slippery and they wear fast. I’ve loved all of the Toyo and Yokohamas I’ve had. My Hankooks have been middle of the road. I would rate them better but my last set one developed a tread bubble. My dad runs exclusively coopers, has had great luck with them.

I had the exact experience as you with goodyears previous to these. Only reason I bought them is discount made a deal I couldn't say no to. They were great in the rain. Only thing I can't verify is longevity bc I only had them about 20-25k miles before I sold the truck.

 

Where in Northern Arizona would yall prefer? I looked at Sedona the other day, and you might as well buy a place in Hawaii for that kind of money! I had no idea.

We have these. Supposedly 70k mile warranty. We're 25k in and are at about 40% tread remaining.
