Same. It doesn’t look….bad, but natural wood trim and doors and such would look better.

Honestly, though, that’s probably literally my only complaint. House was built in 1973, and everything they built with the house was quality. Our water is absolutely perfect and the hot water heater installed 50 years ago works perfectly.

Congrats man! Happy for yall! :woot:
We bought and built our forever home on 2.5 acres. I was wanting between 2 and 5 acres. And I'm very happy with our purchase.
Good luck with the new home build when it comes!

Damn that's awesome! I wish people still manufactured appliances to that standard. I feel like anything built in the last 20 years is just a ticking time bomb.

Not the most exciting and maybe not even the best way to do this, but here is my progression on fixing my driveway cracks. I started by filling the cracks with fine crushed rock. In some of the biggest cracks I stuffed 1/2" backer rod in first. Then I used Tremco Vulkem 45 sealant. While it was still wet I sprinkled more of that crushed rock on the sealant to make it blend in with my driveway.

Kudos to you, most folks don’t have a clue what backer rod is. Especially those who should know.

Ironically, I'm only familiar with it because many of us 1st gen owners used it to eliminate a dash squeak on our Tundra. Worked out well for both jobs!

Yeah, we have this old house with a lot of the original doors and trim. Unfortunately they have about 6 layers of paint on them. :(

Seems to be. It's next to a downspout.

That was my first thought, but they wouldn't dare.

Haha, yea I know. Conduit isn't strapped yet. Put those blocks in as temp spacers to level it and see if I wanted to run the conduit that way. the couplings I just slapped together to see how it would look with 2 so close together (3rd is in there temporarily). I think I'm going to move the 90deg elbow over to the right most knockout on the transfer switch that way I'll just have one coupling. I have been contemplating getting a bender just for this one part. Any suggestions?

My apologies to you tradesmen out there!;)

At least you're using conduit, the previous owner of my house ran surface romex to an outdoor lighting circuit and it makes my eyes bleed every time I see it. But any bender from home depot will do the trick, just keep foot pressure on the back pedal when you're bending and you'll be ready to go!

All good, just poking ya a little. :D
Yeah, any bender will have the correct degree marks and notches.
    I like Ideal benders.
