Scott's Classic Quality Brake and Muffler up in Bonney Lake. He owns a Tundra himself and I copied his exhaust setup to minimize the drone while towing a TT and not wanting to sound like a race truck. It sounds all header with a low rumble at ~2k rpm.. it's quiet above it. Compression check came back good, showing ~200 psi on all cylinders. Just sent off fresh logs to Prospeed. Once I'm dialed in with this setup, almost a year after first purchasing the s/c kit and having all the problems, it'll be ready to party!

    What’s the exhaust setup again?

    Kooks LTs - 4311H410

    3" Borla mufflers - 400436

I kept the stock trd tail pipes and routing over the axle as I like the oem look. It sounds like nothing but headers and air blowing out the tails when rpms get above ~2k from outside.

Just on the phone with the old man. Interesting towing finding with the new blower setup and trailer. Previous towing setup was a turtle back about 3.5k that and the maggy he was getting about 7-8mpg. Now with the new trailer at 7,500lbs and whipple he's seeing 8mpg. Twice the weight same mpg not too bad of an improvement.

I would be surprised if you didn't. They are pretty mellow just cruising around but they sound like hell unleashed when you get on it. Thats with a stock muffler.

    Back to problems..

Fuel leak. Regulator is showing base psi of 50 (should be 60) then drops to ~45. No fuel smell or signs of a leak under the hood. Checked around fuel rails and all hoses and fittings that connect to regulator. Checked under truck to the in line filter and no smell or signs.

A/f gauge is showing lean and logs I sent to PS are showing lean with high injector duty cycle. Thinking fuel pump.. absolutely no fuel smell anywhere

Check at the relay under the hood? (guessing)

FWIW my failures were either insta 20lbs max or death, so that you have some pressure seems like it's not the hose dropping like mine was.

Regulator is holding 60 psi with vac line off.. PS forgot to tell me to pull it. So thats good. Going to buy a fuel pressure tester kit tomorrow and drive around with it hooked to the regulator to check that its building pressure when accelerating.

Im thinking the placement of the wideband is whats causing the skewed logs and afr gauge going crazy. We put the wideband at the bung at the collector. I couldve swore I read somewhere that you need to have it on a single primary. I didnt have this issue prior to the headers and new sensor placement

Aem recommends that it be placed just after the collector at least 18 inches away from manifold. I believe Innnovate recommends at least 24 inches. I have seen others weld the bung about 5 inched below the manifold in the primary.
My AEM is at the collector which is about 18 inches. I too get fluctuations in readings. Wonder if switching to a primary would give a good instant reading although not the whole of the primaries at collector.
Will see what others have to say.

Hopefully its not the pump. I mounted an electric fuel psi guage in the console.

Every wideband I've done (which granted is very limited) says to install a few inches after the collector, and that's including for two Holley ECUs I have where the ECU is actively using that data instead of just a reference gauge like we're talking about. AFR bouncing around is normal in my experience---to an extent. My Innovate gauge matches the stock narrowbands pretty damn close and my exhaust is stock. If the AFR is moving around more than +/-0.5 I'd have some worry, and the reason I say that is the Tundras AFR just idling will move between 14.2-15.0 so that's a baseline of +/-0.3 that I expect to happen. My assumption is the engine can't maintain a perfect steady state which is why it fluctuates---and that's why when you go into enrichment the AFR (in my experience) might move a bit but is pretty solidly locked in since the truck is essentially blindly dumping fuel and no longer referencing all the sensors which it normally uses to constantly make minute adjustments.

If the AFR moves more than +/-0.5 at idle then maybe consider other options, less than that and I wouldn't worry. Just my $.02 from my stock setup though.

This forum and thread is where I found the info I was imagining lol. The wideband gauge hardly moved while idling and headed towards rich when pressing on the gas like it should, with the bung welded into the stock mid pipe. Now the gauge is swinging all over the place erratically in its new location. I can't find anything in AEM's manual that says to preferably place it at or after the collector.. only 18" downstream of the exhaust port.

@V10Ace , I stand corrected. Just read the AEM instructions and it does say 18 inches downstream but no mention of the collector. On my JBA LT's that puts me 2 inches past the collector flange. As @snivilous stated it does jump around but not in big increments and no leaning out. When I am on it it levels out pretty good. I've had a Walbro 255 and Aeromotive 340 hold good pressure but when pushed it would struggle to hold steady pressure and fluctuate. You could also make up a AN fuel line for the gauge and mount it on near the wiper.
