2004 Double Cab 4WD Tundra

Great build man, live the look! Just starting my 2004 AC build. Icon Stage 2 is on order.

 

Installed the master tailgaters back up camera. Pretty straight forward. Spliced into the reverse tail light wire. Handle seems to be decent quality. Video isn’t all thar amazing but I can see which is all I wanted

 

A backup camera is a must with a camper shell. Where did you get that Tundra button on the dash?

 

Wish I could tell ya, it was already there when I bought the truck

 

Custom built Coastal off-road hybrid front bumper:

ordered just the center section from coastal offroad as well as 4 x 4ft 1.75” .120 wall DOM tubing.

My first real project fabbing and welding. Overall loved building it

coastal offroad center section, overall like many have said pretty easy DIY kit. Got everything tacked up pretty quickly.



The tubing took some time, bending, test fitting, bending, test fitting, etc.



Plenty of grinding, sanding to make it look good. Some self etching primer and rustoleum rattle can and it was ready to bolt on



Not perfect but loved how it turned out!

Came out awesome I’m thinking of buying my first welder and getting the coastal bumper also. Save some money and learn a new skill

 

Do it! This exactly why I did and taught myself to weld.

Wow I need to update build page, a lot has happed in a year

 

Built a coastal offroad high clearance rear bumper. Man it was scary trimming the bedside





after that just continued with the build. Definitely helps if you have a buddy





after welding and grinding it was time for paint and install

 

Installed a phone mount. Ran the charger cable behind the dash

 

Decided to give Nilight a try. Ordered their switch panel and lights. Seems very comparable to auxbeam. So far so good.

built a custom bracket to mount the control box in the engine bay


Wired up the switch panel and mounted it here




Built and welded some tabs for the lights. Wired them all up

Got some new shoes, went up in tire size.

285/75/17 BFG KO3s

 

Time to properly fit these tires, at full bump they rub pretty bad. Wheel spacers don’t help at all. Cleared as much as I could without having to modify the entire fender and firewall. Extending bumps about 1/4”. Decided to refresh the front end while having the suspension out

yes sir! Such a cool campground, I go all the time since it’s only about a hour from my house

 

Installed some Perryparts front bumpstops. Went with the larger of the two options since I’m running 34” tires.

 

Welp, looks like I need to learn to weld now haha. This looks amazing.
