You sure it's the upper? Not just b/c the code says pre-cat, sometimes post-cat O2 will throw bad info and ECU will interpret the wrong O2 sensor is faulty. Just know, if code persists after, you're not the 1st guy to have it happen. General reco is to replace in pairs if you've got the $$.

No codes, just the only one I haven't replaced lol. The driver's side was done a while ago as an "oh shit, emissions fail" moment. Then I replaced the rears about a year ago because they were looking rough.

Good grief! I'd like 5 minutes alone with the person that decided the location for the sensor . What a PITA

    Go at it from above.

I will be interested to hear your thoughts on the Dirty Deeds injectors. Mine have been smooth as silk to date. I suppose it could be argued replacing old injectors would be an improvement no matter the brand. A very worthwhile install in my opinion.

I took it for a little spin last night, but am going for longer drive here shortly. Definitely feels smoother. I can't believe how much tighter these feel compared to the old ones. I know the boot was coming apart and I could almost fully rotate them, but I'm wondering if they could be too tight?

Why yes it is. Did the grab handles too. Steering wheel leather was beat. Couldn't find a good replacement. This is my temp/perm solution. Adds some thickness and has worn great. Been on there for years.

OEM harness appears to be intact, so really just downstream of that (i.e., inside of the taillight area) is where the ugly begins. You can see that trailer controller (see pics below) was run up into the taillight wire area and then tied into the wires inside there, so that might actually be a lot easier to "unwind" than I was thinking.
    C7A64E62-D3AD-4797-96C9-E9FC77EF934F.jpg

Somebody was doin' some trailering. It's attached to a tow hitch that is by far the most affected by rust on my truck. Going to remove it and work it over pretty good when I get a chance, but not a high priority right now.

Dang. I need to do something like this. I just wrap my steering wheel in electrical tape.

Normal. The driveshaft "shortens" when your rear suspension compresses.

I went knots to the inside/back of the steering wheel. And his wheel is solid, ours is squishy, no need to go super tight, just tight enough to feel the first bit of give.

Ok, new goal for the C10 with the sticky GM steering wheel....going to pull that this weekend (hopefully installing the rebuilt carb and buying a battery for it tomorrow) and bring it home and see if my very crafty girls want to tackle this.....

Grabbed my Paracord at Hobby Lobby. Was supposed to be more dark brown and looked like it in the store, looked gold when I installed it. Think it was even called "Canyon Brown" or something like that. takes a lot. Buy a couple 100' spools.

Doing some mind blowing mods today. Vacuumed and cleaned the interior. Mounted my fire extinguisher after they finally sent the correct mount. I also repaired my fender liner. This 425 piece fastener kit from Scamazon came in clutch. I noticed it even has spare tailgate rod clips.

@daveeasa I'm going to tear into it this weekend (probably Sunday) and will let you know. May take that off your hands and also that taillight harness if mine's as gnarly as I'm expecting it to be. Really appreciate you!

Alright, after cruising at 50mph, stop and go driving, and acceleration after low speed turns, I am extremely happy with the injector swap.

    10/10 would do it again.
