Yeah, the OP of those threads is the resident lighting guru. Has a ton of great info.

Everyone has different opinions, experiences and price points for things they want. It's a good reference for a lot of products that most youtube people don't go over or know how / what to look for in testing.

Hope it helps make at least a more knowledgeable choice.

I have never had the OEM LEDs but I have the XBs and I love em.
My only regret is that I wish I got the amber DRLs instead of the white DRLs. The sequential lighting effects on start up and lock/unlock make me happy.

If you end up getting the morimotos and you need the Non DRL (DRL delete) relay lmk. I accidently bought it a while back and I will sell it for cheap. TBH I am not even sure what it does but I didn't need it lmfao

Toyota claim reimbursement for replacing the halogens. It's a nightmare of a process. They have no consistency in processing them. Some people get reimbursed and some don't. I have filed 4 times already.

Hey I forgot to let you guys know there is one thing NOBODY ever mentions about the morimotos. After turning off the turn signal etc, there is like a 1 second delay to turn back to running light. Same when you flip through light modes. The OEM LED DRL’s are instantaneous in all aspects. I get that the projectors and drl for the Morimotos have a different driver on the PCB etc but it’s damn near unacceptable for $1600 after tax. I may reach out to see if I just have a bad pair but everything else works great on them so I’m guessing not.

That delay is normal. It's called the switchback feature. The Vleds products do it too.

I can live with it, def doesn’t make me wanna send them back but surprised me. Maybe it’s a question for the seller in Montana but I think “option b” seems discontinued from the guy who makes the full Vled kit on here. I still want them

Yes @memario1214 has the Vleds taillight kits. I have Option A in mine. Option B was an exclusive to Hotshot but soucing some of the parts wasn't feasible to continue that option. Option A was the more popular seller. I have been using Vled products since 2012....good stuff.

Well I'm convinced. As much as I want amber DRLs and sequential turn signals, OEM LEDs sound like the only option for me.

How hard is the install of the factory LED and driving lights on a 21?

    My bad! Here’s a link: https://www.headlightsdepot.com/per...lens-fits-toyota-tundra-sku-to00809-hlcp.html
They have been sold out for about a month now. I got the last 2 they had. First set was a defect and they immediately sent out another pair. I paid about $550ish for the plug n play harness and lights. If you are interested in the defect set, pm me. They are brand new and also blacked out housing with smoke lens. The plastic trim just needs to be pushed in on both L and R but its behind the lens. Got pictures if you want em.

I can second that. I just did my headlights and fog lights about 2 weeks ago. The biggest problem was getting the stupid grill off - it was stubborn. Other than that, follow the steps and it’s easy. Definitely recommend the iHacker harness!

I absolutely LOVE my TRD Pro LED headlights. My '19 SR5 came with the halogen/LED eyebrow headlamps when I bought it and I had a difficult time driving at night (partially night blind). I can't comment on the Morimoto set as I've yet to see a Tundra with them installed but for the price I think the TRD Pro set is the right choice for anyone wanting to improve night time visibility. They also look great on the truck and blend in with the front end much better than the halogen set. Toyota should have included them on all models considering the price of the truck. Anyways, I took some photos of TRD Pro LED headlamps at night for anyone curious about light output/coverage. These were taken with my cell phone so I apologize for the quality. The road was unlit and in an undeveloped area of town so you can get a better idea of what the headlights are really outputting.

Install took about 45 minutes and worked right out of the box without any issue (required additional wiring harness adapter purchased from a guy in this forum who makes them, great quality--highly recommend). Where can I buy OEM led headlights for 2021 tundra? And how much should expect to pay? Any help is appreciated. Thanks. I currently have the halogen reflector ones.
