they said find a good fab guy if you dont want the headers off haha. looking at my wheel wells and taking the rubber cover off...seems like a good enough space for them for work on?

It'd be easy to weld on with the tire off. Then again I'm a full time welder/fab guy myself lol

I typically try and steer clear of anything automotive as I do mostly municipal pump stations but it does sound like another reason to meet up lol

Yes, harder to see, and for some reason they left the sensor plugged into the header collector bung, so there is only a plug there

Mine does that on occasion now too. I don't go too lean but it does move +/- ~1 AFR.

That makes sense if the sensor is further back the feedback loop is delayed. The delay is causing an over compensation in the adjustments.

I have an SAIS bypass for sale. You'll just need the blockoff plate from Hewitt but I believe he sells them cheap.

Not sure to be honest...PS said it was needed while they were doing the follow-up tune, I still see RPM fluctuations at idle...but I don't think as high as yours. Once I get my new exhaust, I'll be able to start it up and see what the RPM ranges are at.

If I ended up using the Doug Thorleys, do I need to be concerned with the O2 sensor position? Way rather have it moved first.

Shameless plug post. Since the increase in power from the SC build and future plans to go further I've decided to invested in the original front TRD Big Brake Kit. I met up with a guy locally that was selling it. He provided like new TRD pads, used SS lines but didn't have all the mounting hardware or rotors. He put me on to SOS Performance, Tom I believe is the owner and he puts his own cell number on his page that you can call or text and he'll respond. I seen his company mention in a few post here in reference to big brake kits so I gave it a go.

I have new mounting hardware, new SS lines and the drilled rotors ordered and on the way. He runs specials throughout the year and was really helpful. If anyone is in need of anything from pads to full kits He has it and other items as well. https://sosperformance.com/

That's where I got my 6 caliper rotors on the Tacoma.

FYI, SOS uses ST-60 6 piston caliper. The TRD Bbk uses slightly beefier ST-65 calipers

Depends on how far from the OEM position. That is about the same position the SW LTHs have them on.

I suppose I need to know where it needs to be, also I need to add another bung somewhere for my AFR gauge.

Where did they go on these?

This reminds me of how on the S/C'd 5VZ-FE the "hot tip" was to have a bung welded into the cylinder most likely to melt, it was either #3 or #4, and install an Exhaust Gas Temperature sensor in it. Then we'd just program the piggyback ECU to pump enough extra fuel in to the cylinders to keep them below something like 1400°F under boost. :bananadead:

If I had the extra cash right now I’d honestly probably buy that before a sports car or something for a fun extra vehicle. You just can’t find them.
