None yet but the list is growing
Finally got the new wheels and tires balanced and on the truck last night. From the steel wheels to the aluminum. To me a big upgrade.

They dropped safety in Utah, but we still have to do emission and pay registration fees. The ones that lost out were the safety inspection stations.

Not installed yet, but these just arrived.

Edit: pulled the skid plate and front sway bar off. Put PB blast on all the front nuts/bolts that will get removed.
Pulled the rear shocks off and they were thoroughly dead.
Tomorrow, I'll put stands under all 4 corners and take wheels off. I will pull the coilovers off and then wash the frame and everything else I can reach underneath with soap, a rag and brush. Then, I will put stuff back together with the new suspension parts.

Had new rear wheel bearing installed...boy it's a quite ride now!
On a side not, when I picked it up, and started to drive, a "check engine" light cme on, and the truck wouldn't go over 25mph.
Went back to the shop and the owner thru a computer on it and it indicated a fault with the secondary injection pump....he cleared it and pff I went.
This is the second time I've had this code trip if I recall correctly...

    Gave it a between-camping-trips wash.

Pulled like a champ, as always. 5w30 giving me piece of mind at 2800rpm in S4. Somehow managed 10.4mpg on the way home. 9.3 on the way there.
    PXL_20230610_025549532.jpg

Interior is still camping dirty, but the next trip is for a youth group. No doubt the interior will need a deep clean after that trip.

13:00 just came in from outside where I washed and clay barred my 2007 CM, then I finally worked up enough nerve to polish the beast. I used Griot's complete compound and my Bauer RO polisher. It was my first step ever into polishing and I'll have to say I am pleased with the results although they are no where near what some of you guys can do. Next up will be applying sealer, and then later on in the year a good paste wax to hold me through the winter.

Installed a KTJO 4X4 power lock for the tailgate. Cheaper and easier than the pop n lock system. I’d highly recommend and wish I’d have done it years ago!

Soooo, chased the tranny man again and turns out my beast was throwing codes because it was missing about a quart of fluid. :angrygirl:
Caused by a leaking gasket, new one should arrive this week. Begs the question why is a fully refurbished transmission leaking through a gasket, surely the chap used new gaskets when he put it back in?... :monocle:

If this were some stealership with a high turnover of young wannabes I'd be the first to agree with you but this chap is old school and I've had occasion to use his services several times in the last ten years with no problems. Out here in the sticks he's recognized as the person to go to for tranny issues. Sure, we all have bad days so a torquing issue is quite possible but the bloke is quite OCD when it comes to mechanical stuff...
The first time I used him I left him with an Explorer SportTrac to finish off after I stripped and rebuilt the tranny myself, all he had to do was put the torque converter in it and rehang it after I ran out of time and had to head back to work in Florida, so I do have some idea at spotting iffy mechanics.

The wait has been a pain in the butt although I don't push it because he's always up to his eyeballs in work but prioritises the working man's vehicles when they roll up. When I, or several folks I know, haven't had a second truck for work he's shunted everyone else back to get them on the road again.
It's not ideal being without the Tundra but at least the Frontier gets me from a to b, has done all I've needed from it and he is fully aware that, I'm sure he'd have had it on the ramp the same day I brought it back to check it out if I were stranded for a truck...At least, that's what I keep reminding myself

Pulled door panels out and cleaned them to get the super fine dust out out of the pockets. Went ahead and cleaned to inner door skin, door openings and all interior plastic (even the hidden stuff under/behind/next to seats) while I was there. Going to let the panels dry out over night before putting them back in.
After dinner, I'm going to wash the truck. It'll be nice and clean for my next trip to town when I'm getting the alignment done. But before that, I'm going to find a nice flat spot to measure the fender height to figure out where to set the coilover height.

No code scan yet, but I disconnected the battery and let it sit while I mowed the yard and pressure washed the driveway. Reconnected everything and it woke up in a better mood. Took it for a quick test drive and it runs normally.

The morning it threw a hissy fit I noticed the coolant reservoir was looking low. Now it always does and I constantly add to it because it’s never liked to stay at the factory full mark since new, probably because it’s not actually low…

So anyway I added a bunch of premixed coolant and overflowed the reservoir with the truck running. I now wonder if there’s a sensor the tripped making the truck think it was overheated or something?

Adjusting my eibach stage 2 coilovers. Got the passenger side dropped 1/2 inch. Started to do the driver side to drop 1/4" and the damn spanner wrench broke.
Welded pin was brittle, crystal structure at the point of failure. Ended up cutting the welded pin out of the handle and having a buddy TIG a grade 8 bolt in (cut the thread off so it was just the smooth body of the bolt). It is a 1/4" hole, so I had plenty of bolts in the bin.

I recall getting the door lock and window switch connectors apart was a serious PITA. An extra hand would have been useful.

Anyone have a pn for that missing felt pad?

Put a code reader on it:

    P2443

Secondary Air Injection System Switching Valve Stuck Closed, bank 2.

    Well, that sucks.

That does suck... Is that one of the codes the by-pass system can fix, or is it one of the excluded codes (meaning an actual mechanical problem)??
