I recently got my 2005 tundra dc and am wanting to put some 33’s on and put some bilstein 5100 struts up front. First off, does anyone know if I can just replace the 4600 struts with the 5100 leaving the spring and hardware the same? I eventually will change the spring when I get a steel bumper but until then I would just do the struts. Second, I want 33’s but am worried about rubbing, any suggestions?

Howdy Tyler, welcome to the forum. Put your truck, engine, drivetrain and cab type in your profile--lots of weird, cab-specific stuff to our trucks. Lucky for us, there's a stickied thread here--scroll down to the section on "Suspension...." and you'll see lots of quick tips to get your started. You can probably run 33s, but you'll definitely want to do a lift like what you're talking about with the upgraded Bilsteins.

If you end up doing any of these upgrades or any other projects, please post them up on this forum.

Before you spend the money on a lift, when was the timing belt and water pump replaced last? Ditch the paw cap and go about the maintenance stuff first.

Are you willing to cut on the truck? How do you feel about wheel spacers? Dead set on a true 33x12.50 or will metric 285s or 305s suffice?
