    Going to go ahead and change the coil packs and plugs. I’ve heard Denso plugs and coils are good. What do y’all recommend? Are there coils and plugs that are a little cheaper and work just as well? Also needing a new rack and pinion.

    Denso or NGK plugs.


    Not from am-azon or e'bay, due to excessive quantities of fakes.

    Can get coils from RockAuto made by Denso but name is milled off. Research the forum. About half price for OE.

    +1 on this.

    Your owners manual will tell you what part number to use for your vehicle, normally in the 'specifications' section where fluid volumes etc. are kept. If you don't have a copy of your owner's manual, check the links at the top of this thread for reference material pertaining to your truck:
