Took the old tundra out to grab a bite to eat in downtown Austin.

The oem valve stem on the inner portion of the wheel has a brass stud where the oem TPMS body screws onto. The stud is flat on one side.

I can also post an image of the sensor and screw if anyone needs to refer to one.

Looks great, I also have an SR and I’m completely happy with it. It’s a strong platform which one can build up/customize.

Are you considering adding any lights? That’s my only legitimate complaint.

Thanks. So does it make sense that they couldn't use the valve stem from the 1794 wheels on the new one? The 1794 (old) wheels had the original valve stem and sensors. The platinum (new) wheels had the valve stem replaced with ones that couldn't have the sensors on them. They said they can't reuse the valve stem from the old wheels on the new one.

Maybe they should have transferred the old stems onto the new wheels. However I’m not sure how easily they can be reused.

They said once they pull them out they can't. But I feel like maybe I was duped.

I remember my tire guy told me that it’s highly recommended to buy new stems from Toyota and he could swap over the sensors without any issues.

I purchased some from my local dealer for around $53.

Ok. Seems like new valves would have been cheaper than new sensors though. They put in new sensors instead of using the old ones. They said they couldn't use the valves in the new wheels. Maybe they didn't have valves? They didn't charge me for the sensors though. But it Sucks they couldn't program.

Just installed the cbi covert bumper w/ a superwinch sx12k. The vertical fitment of the faceplate pushes the grille/mustache up roughly 1/4” from its factory position. After reading the thread for this install, it appears I’m not the only one.

I just had my suspension replaced with the dobinsons ims shocks, and 220lb coils. The dobinsons billet UCA’s should be coming soon(mid June).

I recently installed the diode dynamics SSC2 pro flush mount reverse lights w/ red backlights. The 7 pin rv piggyback harness was very convenient. Also swapped the rear bumper panels and fender flares for the trd pro’s.

VERY easy install. Do have to manually tap into one wire and cut another. Other than that, its plug and play. Website says you have to mail back the module but they give you instructions to diy it using idata's weblink. 2hr job, that's taking your time and soldering and buttoning it all up.

Working great so far, take over is easy and you can just drive off into the sunset without the truck shutting off when you open the door.

Cleaned it today. The Blueprint really pops with a good wash! Decided to foam it, clay and maguire spray ceramic wax. I know it's not a real ceramic coating but it's cheaper, faster and looks good lol

Go back and ask em to rebalance them correctly. I had to go back and have the boys at Discount tire redo the balance. Wildpeaks as well, they aren’t notorious for having balancing issues, I’d say it’s operator error…

Coincidentally a recent thread reminded me of these as well, and just received mine (and installed) today.
When someone else mentioned "glare" from the OEM piece I kinda rolled my eyes when I read it.....that is until I installed this and instantly noticed less glare coming from 'that area.'
Looks better too; looks more OEM than OEM.

Someone tell Toyota; maybe they'll change it for MY2042.
