I like your setup. Never use the rear seatbelt. How do you have that mounted?

For the top, same bolt used for seatbelt in same spot and took off the panel for the bottom bolt n nut. Put bottom on while panel is off then screw in original seatbelt bolt after panel is on

Dude your rear seat delete is way nice.
I need to step up me game. I just have to be careful with my electric rear slider window guts.

Thanks for the reminder, I need to put this on the agenda for both vehicles. And 10 tires, 5 for both vehicles. Gonna be an expensive month...

That will cost ya! I've been chewing on new tires for the Tundra; think I'll keep putting it off. Plenty of tread but one hasn't worn well due to a leak I didn't manage like I should have; causes a little un-smoothness...

I'm still going back and forth on sizing, and whether to update tires before or after lift. Gotta get realigned for both, so I'd prefer to knock out both at the same time, timing that out is a PITA for me.

I decided to have a second go at removing my stuck diff plug. No luck using heat, ended up stripping it out. Went to HF and picked up some easy outs, I've heard good things about the Icon brand so went with those. Hammered the sucker in, worked the breaker bar for a few minutes and it finally broke loose. Replaced it with Lexus plugs. Also picked up an air cleaner and some MAF cleaner while I was in town since I'm throwing a code.

Nah, it wouldn't hold in the bench vise. Will try grinding some flat spots on the plug tomorrow, didn't feel like messing with it tonight.

I’m surprised yours actually stuck being from South Cali. Do you have a slow leak there from the CV axle?

Axle seals are fine, that's probably WD-40 you're seeing. I tried messing with it about a year ago, but knew it was going to strip then. Only bolt that has really given me grief on the truck

Toyota serviced the front diff at around 75k, maybe they put it on with an impact.

Dunno about '04 but I noticed on my '06 diff plugs were allen-head for the first 6-8mm, then deeper into the plug it switches to Torx. I'm assuming this is a fail-safe in the event the allenhead gets stripped. Curious, yours weren't same?

    Pending work:
    • New rims, 17x9 / -12
    • New TPMS
    • New tires on those new rims
    • UCA + CO + ext sway links
    • Realignment
Still debating on tires. Go with chunkier 275/70r17 which will fit w/o lift, but max recommended wheel width is 8.5" so I'm looking at a some stretch. Or go with 285/70r17 which I'll almost surely rub w/o lift.

I really don't mind the stretch to fill that half inch, but I hate picking wheels and tires and haven't picked the brains of the two IRL friends I know who are savants with wheel/tire combos yet.

Once I get the above bullets knocked off, I'll be finishing out stereo stuff.

New battery. Thank you AAA. 3 years old and done. Alternator tested 'good'. Tracking down the draw has been added to the list.

I've heard a lot of people say they only got 3 years out of a modern battery. i think 5 years is becoming the exception.
Date stamp on the RV's battery I was re-installing today is 12/11, but spends most of it's life sucking on the teats of a charger so...
FWIW, it's a Walmart branded battery.

Or grip the plug in the vise, spin the extractor in reverse. Or get a tap and die set, drill and tap a hole in some steel stock, then torque it down in with the extractor until the extractor comes free, then hang it on the wall as an award.

But maybe pushing them every 6 months is the way to go about it, versus pinging them every year...

Not quite tundra specific... but grant me this.

Made a set of double layer leather hinges for my big cooler.

they open all the way, but dont wanna stay open. Perfect.

next time i go to town i'll get a bag of ice for the big cooler and a bag for the cooler i had at t2s & see which one keeps longer. Both igloos, no rubber seals, and free.

Might check out Walmarts version of the yeti coolers while you're there. Probably the most cost effective way to save ice.
