update for mpg questions for the 285/70r18 Nitto Recon Grappler. Did a normal-ish drive (Rt 11 for those of you fellow Beast-Coasters), about 20 miles worth round-trip, 30-55/60mph and logged/calculated 18mpgs. Perfectly happy with that.

    Too many, but not enough....
I dont think it is. I had PPF installed on my TRD pro headlights. It will help when it comes to yellowing from the sun, rock chips on the highway and general protection for things, like what you mentioned for the scratch. I paid 100 bucks, as long as its around there I think its worth it.

I think I'm stealing your whip mount location on the bed stiffeners. I like that a lot better, and it'd free up some space on my bed rails.

Did you do the 4 pack of rock lights? Seems to be plenty of light.

Got pissed off at Farm and Fleet walking back out to it. Parked next to another 2.5 gen. Got the door and the lower bulge. If this is how we’re going to treat each other, that really sucks. No note either.

I try to never park next to any other vehicles, let alone another 2nd gen crewmax. These rear doors are huge, and they open WIDE. It’s often kids opening them. I’m constantly telling my kids to watch their doors. And I will have all three get out on one side if I absolutely must park next to someone.

I can handle trail stripes all day long, but I hate parking lot dings. It’s rough out there when you’re trying to keep your truck clean, lol.

    Well that's just shitty then.
My kid is pretty terrible with the door lol. I'm like you, though. I'll try not to park near anyone, but have him get out on my side if the wife isn't with us. Either way, we try to manage the door so he doesn't yeet it into the next guy.

Fair enough. That's the bumper I'm leaning towards, mainly because I want the bull bar tubing to help in case of hitting a deer. Unlikely to hit one at more than 90 kph. I lost my first vehicle to a deer back in BC and have had several close calls. A lighting upgrade would help too. I don't think much would help if I hit a moose though.
