LED turn signal drl swap

Anyone has any good luck with changing out the DRL/Turn signal bulb to a white LED bulb that works good? I tried one off of Amazon and it kept blowing a fuse. Recommendations needed. Brand and bulb size pleas. TIA. I have a 17 Tundra btw.

 

Are you trying to do a switchback type bulb( amber colored with headlights off or turn signal on and white with headlights on)? Also if it kept blowing the fuse check the base to see if the metal around it is grounding it out. Had this problem with a led conversion in my dome lights.

 

No. Just wanted it white and not amber. I checked with manufacturer and they said I needed a resistor. I've checked to see if it's grounded out and it's not.

 

its a 6ohm resistor that you need for the flasher. You can get them on Amazon or lots of other places....but for simplicity sake start at Headlight Revolution. Look for the switchback bulb...i know you want just white but they have a video on how to do install.

White turn signals will earn you a fixit ticket in most states.
