So my headlights don’t project very far. I called Alpharex and they said LEDs had to be positioned at 2 and 8. Is this right?
I know he works for the company, but just want to make sure he didn’t have a brain fart and meant 3 and 9. (Which I already did, but lights don’t shine far)

    I have the pro-series.
    Anyone else have this issue?

The Leds should face the curvature of the reflector.

Ok those are projector housings. Are the bulbs that you are replacing halogens that are in the low beams?

    I replaced halogens with LEDs.

I thought the chips of the flat surface were supposed to face 3 and 9 o’clock.

I’m having trouble getting the sequential blinkers to work. Any advice?

Yes, I found it impossible to get decent performance out of my Alpharex Pros with LED lamps installed - I tried three or four different designs, all high quality lamps, installed in various orientations. I finally ditched the LEDs and installed some high wattage Hella halogens.

In your opinion, are the halogens better for the pros?

Yes, that would be my opinion. From my perspective, LEDs in reflector housing are just a workaround and as with any workaround, your mileage will vary. The Pros were designed for halogens, so they naturally work better.

Don’t your headlights come with a projector?

Yes, sorry I mis-stated - Alpharex Pros are (halogen) projectors. Projectors designed for the design of halogen lamps. LEDs in halogen projectors are a workaround, just as LEDs in reflectors are a workaround.

Thanks for calling that out & getting it cleared up.

I know I'm writing almost 2 months later but I have the alpha rex pro series headlights in my 07 and upgraded the old crappy halogen bulbs to gtr lighting 2.0 led bulbs. I think when I put them in they were facing 2 and 8 like the alpha rex employee stated and they work amazing I couldn't be happier. Not sure if the projector housing differs between the 07-13 year headlights and the 14-22's but if you guys are still wanting to upgrade I'd highly recommend gtr lighting.

I can't remember if I had the high beams on in this photo but the high beams don't change the total volume of light bellow the projector cut off line anyways.

I know they aren't the greatest pictures but I'll try to get another soon to showcase to you all if you even still care about the lighting on your trucks XD

Has any moisture gotten inside the housing?

Nope not at all. I’ve had them in there since the end of last summer and they’ve never given me any problems and with this nebraska weather we have lots of drastic changes in temperatures outside that usually results in the moisture buildup in headlights and tail lights but not these!

I actually noticed some in mine, but might have been because I used a power washer.

I'd recommend to just take off the cap on the back and check to make sure there's no dust or dirt on the rubber seal. I should say that I have had to replace my drivers side assembly before because I got a faulty assembly and my DRL went out but the customer service for alpha rex just sent me a new one that best matched the one I had. I think it shipped in like 3 days which was pretty nice.
